Danny watched Yusei try to explain what had happened, which he was failing miserably at. He was currently laying on the couch with a confused Leo and a red-eyed Luna. His gaze would sometimes wander to Jack. The tall blond caused a shiver to run down Danny's spine. He would shake the feeling, then focus back on Yusei. The teen was rubbing his neck in frustration.
Luna shifted under his weight. Danny sat up and let her lay down. After she settled down, he layed against her, letting her breath move his fur. She closed her eyes and fell asleep, letting the events of the day leave her with each breath. Her arms dangled off the couch. He slid his head between them in an attempt to comfort her. He listened more to the arguments and disscusions between the room mates.
"Yusei, I just don't see how this works. Luna has a connection with duel spirits. Not whatever Danny is," Crow said, clearly confused.
"I agree with Crow on this one. I just don't see what is going on," Jack said. Yusei sighed," Yes, but we still don't know ALL about the crimson dragon. It could have given her a new ability or streatched her ability. We don't know."
Danny heard footsteps fade away, but one set came back. He felt something cover his body. He looked up and saw Crow, fixing the blue blanket. He caught Danny watching him, smiled and pet his head. It felt good. Like what his mom use to do when he was upset.
Leo got up from the couch and walked over to him. "Keep her safe," he whispered. He looked him in the eye. "I will," Danny said. He was suprised at his own voice. It was horse and raspy, like it hasn't been used in years. Leo looked at him, clearly too shocked to speak. He ignored the look he got and looked at the clock. 3:30. That explanation took longer than he thought. He nuzzeled his nose under Luna's chin and fell into a deep slumber.
