GRACE'S POV

I've known Liam since I was five because we've been going to the same school together. We joke around.

Liam is so in love with Abby.

It's been three months. Homecoming came and passed. Abby is...

Well, she's crazy.

And Liam...

He got his ass kicked by Logan and he didn't fight him back.

Logan put him in a coma.

Liam is gaining muscle from how much he's in the gym. Every time he's not working, sleeping, or at school, he's in the gym. Abby was a straight A student, but I ran into her Mom in the store the other day and she said she's got straight F's and she hasn't been home in three weeks.

I had never seen Liam cry before, but he's so broken.

He's so lost.

I saw him cry the other day because he saw Abby making out with Logan in the cafeteria.

We're all at lunch.

Abby, I can tell when she walks into the cafeteria that she's drugs.

She's on drugs.

She's muttering words and she's really out of it.

Logan is kissing her neck and Abby is giggling.

I look at Liam, but he's not looking at her.

Logan's hands start to wander.

We're all going to a whole school game today and everyone has to play.

It's a fundraiser.

Lane is really curious about Abby because we told her how bad she is and he didn't believe us, so he's coming to the game today with Anna, Kyle, and Megan.

Abby is always the good girl, but she fights people and she always reeks of weed. She crashed her car into a motorcycle and ran off and got locked up for the weekend.

It's crushing Liam. I haven't seen in smile in forever.

Liam looks up just as Logan's hands start to wander on Abby.

She scoots away from him.

"No." she says.

She wraps her arms around herself.

I know she's depressed.

She's using the drugs to dumb the pain.

My eyes well with tears.

She's so gone.

Logan whispers something to her, and she nods.

Liam is watching them like a hawk.

"Liam." Jackson whispers. "At least try to be discreet."

I haven't even heard Liam's voice in almost a week.

The bell for the game rings, and everyone gets up and heads out to the field.

We all walk with Liam.

All the familities are here. And I see Lane in the front row.

Silently, I point at Abby after catching Lane's eye.

His jaw drops.

It's a stupid baseball game.

We get divided up into teams.
