Ruby walked to school and smiled as she saw Alfred. She ran to him and hugged him tightly. "Hey Alfie." She giggled.
Alfred smiled and held her close. "Hey Ruby." He kissed her head and held her hand as they walked in. They were the most popular couple by far. They went to their lockers and met up in the cafeteria before homeroom.
Ruby sat at a table and held Alfred's hand. "So... Guess what I found out this morning."
Alfred shrugged. "I dont know, what?"
She giggled and smiled. "My mama is pregnant."
"Which one?"
"My non-birth mom, Skai."
Alfred smiled and hugged her. "I'm so happy for you. Being an older sibling is so cool."
She nodded and hugged back. "I'm excited."
He kissed her head and smiled. "You'll be a great big sister."
She giggled and the bell rang. She stood up and looked at him. "See you after class?"
He nodded and they walked to their homerooms.
