"So I saw Ethan ask you out today."
I choked on the sip of water I had just swallowed and tried not to cough wildly as Eli raised an eyebrow at me.
"Y-you did?"
I coughed again and tried not to blush as he leaned over and gently rubbed my back. He chuckled.
"Yeah. Want to know what my favorite part was?"
His bright eyes twinkled mischievously as I ran a shaky hand through my hair.
"W-What?"
"When you turned him down."
I blushed like a tomato as he winked at me.
