Followed ~Newt

"Where are we going?" You ask while Newt takes my hand and leads you to the woods. "A surprise." He replies with a smirk on his face. You follow him and walk through the woods to the surpise he has arranged for you. "Is it a long walk?" You ask when your feet starts to hurt from the walk. "It's not that far anymore." Newt says. You sigh and keep following him. He places his hand for your eyes and makes you take a few steps forward.

He lifts his hands up to reveal a blanket spread out on the ground with a basket on top of it. "Tadaaa!" Newt says with a huge smile on his face. "Newt. This is amazing! When did you plan this?" I ask surprised. I knew he had a surprise, but this is seriously amazing!

"Just a few hours ago. I saw how hard you were working and wanted to give you some relaxing time." I smile and give him a sweet kiss on his lips.

He kisses back and after a while you slowly back off and take a step back. "Lets see what you've brought for us." You say happily before making your way to the basket Newt brought.

When you open it, you see a few sandwhiches, individually wrapped, a little box filled with a healthy salad and another little box filled with strawberries covered in chocolat.

"This looks amazing Newtie!" You say while taking two of the sandwiches and handing one to him. "Thanks y/n. I really hoped you'd like it." You smile and give him a quick kiss on his cheek before unwrapping the sandwich and taking a bite.

It's really tasty and you quickly take another bite of the sandwich.

You're about to tell Newt the joke Gally told you this morning when you were stitching up a wound he got while working, when you hear the sound of leaves breaking. Like the sound it makes when you step onto a pile of dry leaves.

Both you and Newt turn your head to see who's the cause of the sound and you see Chuck standing behind a tree, desperatly trying to hide himself. "Chuck? What are you doing here?" Newt asks. You hear a sigh and Chuck steps forward from behind the tree.

"I'm sorry Newt and y/n. Gally asked me to check what you guys were doing." The young boy replies with a guilty look on his face. "Why did Gally do that?" You ask. "I'm not sure. He didn't tell me when I asked." Newt nods and stands up. "He's probably jealous. He should now that you bloody are my girlfriend and not his."

Newt starts walking into the direction of the Glade. You and Chuck exchange looks and you both know that this isn't going to and well. "Newt wait!" You yell at him, hoping he'll come back to his senses. He looks at you over his shoulder, but continues walking towards the Glade.

You run behind him, followed by chuck, and when the three of you reach the Glade he looks around until he finds Gally. He runs up to him and when Gally turns around to ask Newt what's going on, Newt hits him in the face.

"Newt!" You scream when you see what he did. Gally stumbles backwards while bringing his hand towards his face. He's bleeding.

"Leave her alone you hear me! She's my girlfriend!" Newt's about to hit Gally again, when Minho grabs his arm and pulls him back.

"Newt! What the shuck?!" Minho says when he drags Newt away from the injured boy. A few Gladers gather around Gally and you know you should stay to help him since you're a med-jack, but you decide to follow your boyfriend and your bestfriend.

"What was that for you shuckface!" Minho says with an angry expression on his face. "Gally made Chuck follow us around. He probably wanted to know when y/n was going to be alone so he could try to win her over."

"That's klunk, but you know what happens if you harm another Glader! The two of you, stay here. I'm going to talk to Alby and try to convince him to not ban you."

I quickly nod and after shooting an angry look at Newt, Minho turns around and runs towards the homstead.

"Newt. You shouldn't have done that. You know better then anyone what happens if you don't follow the rules. I don't want to lose you. I love you."

"I couldn't let him get away with this y/n. I know what the consequences are, but that shuckface needs to leave you alone. I love you to. That's why I did what I did."

You sigh and step closer towards him. You can't be mad at Newt for this. He was just trying to protect you. "It's alright. I'm sure Minho can change Alby's plans, but Newt. I would never leave you for someone like Gally. I mean, he's cool, but he isn't you. He'll never get me since you're on my mind 24/7." Newt smiles and leans forward. He presses his soft lips on yours and you kiss him back. "I know. I love you Y/n."
