Virat's POV

I didn't see Vertika at lunch.
Everyone was there but she doesn't come when I asked about her NEHA said she wasn't hungry.
God she is upset about our fight.
Why we always end up fighting I don't know. But I got to check on her even if she is angry and its was her fault also.

After lunch I searched for Vertika but I couldn't find her. So I went outside the hotel.

There she was sitting beside the pool. Her legs were half way through the water. She was talking on her phone.

When I reached her I heard her saying "no Vasu this is not ok he can't say things like that when he doesn't even know me" I could tell that she was upset by her voice.

There was a pause before Vertika said "he will think that of me I never would have imagined" she said with irritation.

Well what was I supposed to think at that time. She doesn't know anyone here right. Or does she?

"For God's sake he was my cousin Vasu and I went to meet my aunt n cousins. You know how much my sister was upset when I couldn't meet up with her the day I came here" a pause " coz he has to meet his girlfriend I have to change my plans that's why  Bhai came to took me at night" she said.

I'm so so dead he was her cousin. God I should have thought about this.

"Yes he totally accused having a one night stand with random boys. For a girl who doesn't even have a boyfriend in whole of my life.. It hurts badly" I can hear sadness In her voice.

She doesn't have a boyfriend how is that possible I mean she is gorgeous, smart,funny,caring. How can she not have a boyfriend.

"No no you don't need to kill him" a pause "yes I will allow next time if he acts like a total ass" she said with a little smile but you can easily tell that she is still pretty much sad.

"Yep... Talk to you later" and with that she hanged up.

So I decided to talk to her.

"Hey" I said softy.

"What do u want virat" she asked not looking at me.

"Your forgiveness" I told her.

"What if I don't want to forgive you?" She asked now looking at me.

When I stare in her eyes they looked so sad. Her eyes was the best part of her face well apart from that heart melting smile of hers.

God this is not the time to think about this virat. You need to cheer her up. Take away that sadness from her eyes.

"Way then I will try harder to get it. I can do up n down like students do when their teacher punish  them" I told her with a smile.

Well everyone say that my smile can make other smile back so I guess I could try it. And it actually work coz a small smile formed on her face.

"What are you 5?" She asked.

"Well I surely acted like one back then" I told her truthfully.

"Yep.... You surely did" she said.

"I'm really sorry Vertika I was just upset about the match n then I wanted to talk to you but I saw you went with a boy so I just assumed things up" I told her looking straight into her eyes.

" and by the way you did well at the press conference last day" I continued.

"Yep... That you were supposed to attend" she told me with a hard look.

"Well I think it was better that you attend it coz I would have said something that I would regret later" he said.

"Well you got that right. Don't worry the umpire made a wrong decision there" she told me.

"Ya.. Well that will not change the fact that I got out on 23 will it?" I asked her.

"Well you can't totally blame the umpire there virat it actually looked like it will hit the off stamp it pitched on line Virat" she said.

"You understand cricket " I asked surprised.

"Well why do you think I'm your manager when I don't understand cricket" she asked me back.

"Well I haven't known any girl who knows this much abut cricket. Not most of the girls enjoy cricket" I told her.

"Well I'm not most of the girls" she said with a smile.

"That you are not" I said truthfully.
She really wasn't like any other girls I have meet. She doesn't care about getting ready all the time, doesn't even cared how she looked well she doesn't need to coz she was naturally beautiful, understand cricket,mangers everything so easily at such a young age. She truly was different.

"Well I doesn't know how D/L method works" she said.

"That no one knows I guess" I said with a laugh.

"Except ABD. Devee knows everything abut cricket" she said.

"Oh... I agree on that " I said.

"I wanted to ask u something" I told her.

"Ask away" she said.

"Do you really never have a boyfriend before" I wanted to make sure I still can't believe it.

"No not one" she said.

"Hey wait a minute that means you eardrops my conversation" she asked with disbelief.

"I doesn't mean to but I am thankful that I did otherwise I would have never known the truth" I told her.

"And back to my question how? I mean why did you never had a boyfriend" I asked her.

"Well my father was the dean of the school so no boy ever dared to ask me out and in college I never liked anyone n some of the boys who ever asked me I always said no"she told me.

"So you never even liked anyone?"I asked but before she can answer me her cell ringed.

She picked up her phone n put it on speaker when an angry voice said "who the hell he think of himself to talk to you like this" well who ever she is I can bet she would have killed me if she get a chance.

"Di calm back he apologized to me already" she said to her sister I guess.
"And you forgive him doesn't you Vertika why are you so great" her sister said in a more calm voice then before.

"Well coz I'm your sister" Vertika said.

"I'm killing him next time if he even raised him voice on you n you are not stopping me than" her sister said.

"That's the same thing Vasu said earlier" Vertika said with a smile looking on me.

"You are ok right" her sister asked with concerned.

"Yes Di I'm absolutely fine don't worry about me I'm a big girl" she said.

"You will always be a little sister to me Vertika" her sister said.

"I know I will be" Vertika said with a smile.

"K got to go talk to you later n call me if you need to talk about anything".

"Well do that bye Di love you" with that she cut the phone.

"Well I guess I should stay away from your family everyone seems to plan to kill me" I told her.

"Well they all always have been protective of me so you can't blame them" she said.

"I can understand. And I'm once again sorry for what i said earlier" I told her.

"Its ok virat I forgive you" she said with a friendly smile.
