CHAPTER SEVEN

She felt drops of water splash onto her hot skin as Lex jumped, joining Hux in the crystal blue waters of Monaco. Bella smiled, imagining what those two friends were attempting to do whilst she was sitting down, getting a tan.

It had been days since they arrived, days since Bella's sexual life was turned around, if she was being honest with herself. She was often occupied with activities, as she had to accompany Lex to the number of parties, get-togethers and events that he had, not to mention their outings around the country, whether it be them winning at the casinos or spending the days in bed, which she didn't mind at all.

So here they were, in his private home that extended to the border and was halfway in Italy, enjoying the summer sun on the yacht.

She was at first panicking when he told her that they were going to the countryside to swim, thinking almost immediately that she didn't have any swimsuits. At first she was worried, then realized the battalion of other garments that existed in the closet of the hotel, hoping that there was something in there that she could wear.

She lay there, clad in her bikini, an off-blue if not a little to the left, all eyes were on her and the toned abs she had, there was no doubt. But eyes were not necessarily a bad thing, especially if they belonged to a particular someone.

"You do know I'll have to fight to keep them off you?' He asked her, taking in the sight of her in his favorite color whilst she stuck several things in the Fjallraven bag that she was going to bring.

"As if, I'm yours for the next five weeks remember?' She coos as he hugs her from behind, making contact with her bare skin, 'And plus, they aren't any threats compared to you, trust me,"

She turned around and pecked him on the lips, making sure to angle her body in a way he'd feel obligated to make his hands roam more, feel more.

"Always working aren't we, Bella?' He whispered, immediately noticing what she was doing, and then put on a cocky smirk.

"It's a reflex" She answered, breaking from him and walking away, putting on her daisy dukes, all in the satisfaction of feeling the eyes on the back of her head.

"That was a good one wasn't it?" Hux's Irish accent rang through her ears as she heard both men get back on the deck, it being already sunset and Bella was long done with her tan.

She spotted both of them as they walked around, not seeing her as she was above in the upper deck, the glass being one sided. They both had svelte bodies and almost immoral amounts of sex appeal; Bella couldn't help but keep her eyes on them as they shook their heads, like dogs seeing to get the water out of their hair.

Hux was a friend, she knew. He managed LexCorp on the other side of the pond, which was the whole of Europe, but she couldn't help but become curious with their side conversations and low voices as they talked about things she wanted so dearly to know.

She became distracted from these thoughts as they entered the upper deck, and grabbed a bottle of champagne.

"Is this water for you guys?' She stood up from the couch, dropping the book that she was reading to accept the glass that Hux was offering to her.

"That statement was all too true,' He laughed as she took it and gave another one to Lex who at this point was grimacing at their interaction.

"So how was the water? You guys practically spent the whole time in there, aside from that moment both of you climbed up on deck and thought it was fun to push me in.'

She put on a little pout, and took a sip of her drink, how refreshing, but all Lex could think about was how cute her pout was, and how much he wanted to bite those lips.

"Quite on the contrary really, it wasn't fun, it was more of brilliant.' He quipped back, lightly pestering her with the memory, her surprised aaaah going through his head once more and then going cliff diving right afterwards, he knew the spot to everything she wanted to do.

"Well I can't deny that was fun, and brilliant, but did you see your face when you jumped from the cliff with me? You couldn't let me go for pete's sake!" She jested, and he loved this feisty side of her, treading always on that thread-thin line of joking and insult.

"I bet that wasn't the only reason he was holding onto you so tight." Hux injected, making the three of them laugh out loud.

"Trust me, if I had the chance, I'd never let her go" He seemed to joke again, but Bella noticed a sparkle in his eye, and she almost fell for it if not for the blaring men only want you for one thing going bonkers in her head. Although it was a totally different scenario in his, he was slowly taking baby steps to his goal.

"Alright you lovebirds, I get the picture yada yada but please don't start fucking with me in the room." Hux complained, putting his hands up in the air with contempt. The light mood returned.

"Really do know how to destroy the ambiance, don't you?' Lex answered back, half joking

"We're not in France anyway Lex you grump! Even if we are about 40 metres close to it, I'm not about to pull some Paris, City of Love kind of thing on this yacht, especially since it's not including me.' His cocky self revealed and Bella was back on the laughing track, taking whole amounts of amusement from their banter.

"Okay you three year olds should stop fighting, it gives you wrinkles and I don't particularly date men with them' She warned Lex, and put a hand on his arm, her sarcasm making him smirk.

"If anything you should be scolding him, not me, but anyway,' remembering the mental note to remind her about the party he was hosting for his European partners, 'the party'll start at around 7pm which is an hour from now, and if you need to go off deck back to homebase,' she giggled at him for his quirky names of things, 'there's gonna be a spare vespa in the back or a driver just waiting for you."

"I will definitely use the vespa in that case, I'll see you two in an hour.' She put back the glass onto the table, giving Hux a kiss on the cheek, and leaving Lex with something a little bit more naughty.

"PDA, I'm scandalized.' He mocked them with an arm over his eyes whilst Bella slung her Fjallraven over her back and put her shorts on.

"You're just wishing you had it, lover-boy' She teased Hux one last time as she walked through the doors, giving Lex a smile then heading out.

actually the one after this was supposed to be one whole chapter with this, but it was way too big like i dont want yall to be overwhelmed with 3000+ words haha

also, i am literally in love with this chemistry between them because it's perpetually borderline sexual???? idk haha 

BTW Hux is not at all a threat to Lex oml i couldnt do that to my poor ginger baby bc love triangles absolutely kill me inside haha Bella just sees him as a brother who teases her and yada yada
