Chapter 3 - Lonely

{Third Person POV}

It was dark out and Reiji took (Y/N) to the park, she wouldn't stop talking about her mother.

How her mother would always take her to the park, sing her lullabies, give her kisses, and Reiji was getting quite annoyed or was it... jealously. He was jealous of (Y/N), she had a loving mother, unlike him.

(Y/N) was playing with the slides and climbing on latters, she was too busy to notice Reiji. He was... crying, but why?

He was royalty, his known for his intelligence, his seriousness. He never showed any sigh of emotion, and he would never let his emotions show through.

Then why was he crying, why now?
He was thinking about his mother. The way she ignored him, the way she acted as if he never exist. It had been that way.
When he and Shu fought, when the where little, it would always be his fault.

If they were both hurt or upset, she would always cradle Shu in her arms while ordering Reiji to grow up.

He read the books, did the work, and got all of those good grades, but revived no praise. His school report, filled with A+'s was left lying crumpled on the floor while his mother fawned over Shu's B's and C's.

WHY?

As a fresh wave of tears streamed down his face, he pick up a familiar scent.

(Y/N).

He looked up and saw the 3 year old girl, standing beside him. She was looking at him, her bright (e/c) eyes sparked with curiosity, and it was bothering him.

"Go play (Y/N)."

The child knew something was wrong, because he never called her (Y/N), it was alway (Y/N)-chan.

"Why are crying Reiji-kun?" She tilts her head to the side.
She lean towards him and cups his face. He winced at her gentle touch.

"Reiji-kun are you lonely?"

Reiji froze. (Y/N) looked at him with a concern face. He couldn't answer, he was too shocked, to emotional to speak.
"That's ok Reiji-kun."

(Y/N) hopped onto his lap and wrapped her small arms around his waist and buried her head in his chest.

"Its okay Reiji-kun, your no longer going to be lonely, because I'm here and I will never leave you, that's a promise." She smile up at the vampire.

He couldn't speak. He tried to choke up words, but couldn't. He just buried his head in (Y/N) 's soft hair and cried.

Somehow, he didn't feel lonely anymore. No not anymore, 'cause he had his (Y/N).
