Izzy POV

Despite Rowan's grumbles that they'd miss all the food, when Izzy followed him into the spacious kitchen/dining room the piles of gastrointestinal offerings were untouched, waiting, and steaming. Throwing him a gloating smirk, which he ignored, Izzy inhaled deeply, the air was filled with the scents of food, and better then that – coffee. Without thinking Izzy started forward, allowing the intoxicating aroma of dark deliciousness, to guide her to the caffeine it promised.

"Where do you think you're going?" Rowan's voice was low, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw those standing around the table swing their gazes to them. Nine pairs of eyes falling to take in the hand that held her forearm, halting her movements, and holding her still.

"Coffee." She said by way of explanation, her eyes already back to where the carafe stood filled with the thick black goodness, her mind shoving everything else out. Shaking off Rowan's grip she took another step closer.

"Come sit down." Rowan growled in her ear, the heat of his body pressing into her back. She might have been terrified, or repulsed by his closeness, if she hadn't been so focused on the magical elixir just beyond her grasp. She hadn't had coffee in MONTHS. Luna Mindy hated the smell, and so it was not allowed to even cross the threshold into the house. Her mouth watered in anticipation of the first glorious sip.

"Coffee first. Sit later." Izzy said, her voice distant and trance like.

"It's just coffee." Rowan said, mild confusion coating his tone at her unexpected fixation.

That snapped her back, spinning, her eyes found his, her finger jabbing into his firm broad chest. "Blasphemy! That's it you just lost your right to it! Just coffee! HA! How bout just air? Hmm? Or just sun? Or just chocolate?"

Rowan seemed completely taken aback, his eyes widening, his hands dropping from her, raising in a show of surrender.

"Row." Austin called out tentatively, breaking into the growing tension gripping the room.

"Yeah Aus?" Rowan answered, not taking his eyes from her.

"I think you should let the girl get her coffee before she neuters you."

Rowan filched at the suggestion, his body automatically twisting to move his 'boys' beyond her reach. Looking at her curiously he nodded slowly, "Yeah I think that might be a good idea." Giving in he nodded at her and then towards the carafes of coffee that sat on the side bar.

Izzy nodded her head, "Good boy." Ignoring the few snickers around the room, she refocused on her mission.

It was heaven, pure sweet heaven. Holding the steaming cup to her nose and inhaling the tantalizing fragrance, she sighed in bliss. She felt him watching her, a mix of bewilderment and amusement on his face, his plate was covered in a mountain of food but he hadn't touched any of it.

"You risked your head and life to get that, and you aren't even going to drink it?" Izzy snapped her eyes to where Austin sat on Rowan's left. Catching her glare, he grinned throwing his hands up in the air in another display of mock surrender. She was on a roll. "My apologies. Man, you sure are grumpy in the morning."

Narrowing her eyes at him, she inhaled another breath of the rich delicious steam, letting it calm her emotions. It wasn't that she wasn't 'a morning person' she could function if she needed to, could even kinda sorta play nice, but get between her and coffee? That was another story all together.

"Leave her be." Rowan said without turning to address Austin, still watching her.

She took another deep inhale, before she at last took her first sip, it was better then she remembered, she sighed happily.
