Izzy POV

Stretching Izzy smiled as she opened her eyes, only to meet Rowan's clear grey ones just above her.

"Morning Cupcake."

"I really hate when you watch me sleep." She yawned, stretching out like a cat and purring in ecstasy. "It's creepy."

"It isn't creepy." Rowan protested snottily. "It's romantic." Batting his eyelashes down at her and making Izzy cackle at how ridiculous he looked.

"Hat, Toque." She said, waving off his questioning look at her saying, "Ninety percent of the shit that seems romantic, is actually fucking creepy if you just replace the hot guy with a knuckle dragger."

The words barely left her mouth before she was being suffocated, Rowan's body caging her in, pinning hers against the bed as he let out a deep threatening growl, chest rumbling above her.

"Oye! Wolf-boy! Chill." She barked, whacking at his chest. Both of which he ignored. Of course.

His eyes were molten silver, and realizing she was just going to have to ride out the wave Izzy slumped back against the sheets, letting Rowan scan the room before easing back from her, body tenser than a minute ago, the hand that had moved under the thick duvet remaining possessively on her hip. Rough fingers brushed softly over the bare slip of skin were her shirt had ridden up, raising goosebumps over. Her previous complaints about his 'overbearing-ness' evaporating in sudden and intense burst of flames.

"Well thank you for that image." He muttered sarcastically down at her, eyes only partially settled into their more normal grey. "And, for ruining my 'golden mate' moment, there sunshine."

Izzy snorted. "You think creepily staring at me, and watching me drool, is a 'golden' moment?"

"I think taking in your majestic beauty while you slumber unware, waiting to throw myself at any potential danger that should happen upon you, is not only romantic and golden, but also pretty fucking hot." Rowan argued, scowling when she laughed at him.

At his look of horror and offence she rolled her eyes. "Oh don't give me that. 'Puppy-face' doesn't work on me, wolfie."

His hurt expression instantly disappeared, replaced by a wolfish grin as he darted in to nip at the sensitive spot where her neck and shoulder met making her yelp in surprise and pleasure. His arms restraining her from making an escape to the bathroom as he continued his assault.

Only when gulping and hiccupping she conceded did he relent, hovering over her, hands on either side of her head as dark silver hair fell across his forehead. "You have something to say sunshine?" He prodded innocently.

Sticking out her tongue at him she let out another squeal as his teeth grazed her earlobe. "Okay. Okay." She huffed, trying to catch her breath as he stilled on top of her still close enough that each breath tickled her skin, her heart ricocheting around her chest at each flutter of hair, her body mush as the tip of his tongue dragged along the curve of her ear.

"Okay what?" He hummed, pressing a kiss to her bare shoulder and sending her, and her thoughts, hurtling off into space once again.

"Okay you win!" She exclaimed, squirming under him. "You're romantic." She blew, sighing in relief as he eased back just a touch.

"And?" He prodded eyes twinkling in wicked delight.

"And golden." She huffed angrily.

"And?"

"Seriously Rowan?" When he didn't relent, just holding himself above her expectantly, she rolled her eyes at him. Exhaling when he simply quirked an eyebrow at her. "And hot." She mumbled unhappily.

"There's my cupcake." He grinned, looking down at her with a goofy grin that she couldn't possibly resist no matter how she tried, her own cracking through despite her best efforts. And then she didn't care about anything because his lips were on hers, soft but insistent. Gentle but demanding. And then she didn't exist anymore, werewolves and wars, and death, none of it existed – nothing but him. Lowering himself just a touch he met every inch of her body with one of his own, long and hard he pressed her into the mattress, solid and unbreakable above her as his lips kissed her into nothing.

When he pulled back she let out a small sound of protest, blinking to clear her vision, her body already missing the feel of him. "Now that, was hot." She managed to get out, voice rougher and huskier than before.

Rowan let out a bark of laughter kissing the tip of her nose. "Ready for breakfast?"

"Ready for coffee." She replied, mind already replacing thoughts of him with the true good stuff.

"Alright let's go than cupcake." He said rolling off her in a single smooth predatory motion.

She bolted upright, mouth gaping as she stared at where he swaggered across the room, offering her a mouthwateringly delicious view of his absolutely bare and jaw-dropping backside.

Squealing she chucked a pillow at his head, which he didn't even bother to sidestep, instead letting it whack him in the back before falling to the floor as he chuckled. Unhurriedly he disappeared into the bathroom but not before turning to throw a wink over his shoulder at her and her growls of frustration.

Stupid, hot-assed teasing werewolf Princes!

"Oh, it's on Wolfie! This means war!"
