She knew she had said the right thing when he smiled down at her and she easily returned the genuine smile. She blushed when he replied, but it wasn't because she was embarassed or shy, it was because she was delighted to hear it. She didn't have to think about anything then, because his arms were around her, holding her tightly to him and his lips were on hers in a soft kiss.
Her eyes fluttered close as she returned it and just enjoyed the emotions running through her. There was something primal inside of her, but there were so many emotions that she didn't know what they all were. There was happiness, passion, calm, comfort, love, sweetness, lust, gentleness, innocence,... so many conflicting emotions, and yet she didn't go crazy thinking about it. Somehow, she felt safe in his arms and knew that he would be there for her when she needed him and she would be there for him. It was as if the other half of her soul had returned to its rightful place.
