Mal POV

"Hey Mom." I said slightly nervous.

"Where are the outlaws Mal?" Mom asked me.

"Like I would tell you." I bit back.

"And what happened to your hair!"

"I dyed it. What does it look like?"

"It looks hideous."

"Well, I like it!"

"Where are those children dear?"

"Again, not telling."

"Fine." Mom said, strangely calm. She looked into my eyes as I looked away. "You're in love with one of them!"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Who knows?"

"If you won't talk," Mom said then turned to the guards. "Take her to the dungeon. She can back up when she's ready to talk."

"Which is going to be never." I mumbled to myself as I was shoved down into the dungeon and my world became dark.
