Dear Ashton,

I saw you today in the school yard, sitting with your circle of friends as every single one of you fool around and laugh at one another for no good reason. I couldn't remember just how long I was staring at you from across the yard, disguising my staring behind my Chemistry book so no one would notice the way I stare at you for long periods of time. I knew that I could stare at you for hours on end, without ever getting tired. Every single thing you do just amazes me.

But then, she came around half way through lunch period. I saw the way your eyes shone upon seeing her approach, and I saw the way you brightened up even more, if that were even possible. I saw the way you looked at her, as if she was the greatest thing to ever walk the face of the Earth, as if she was the most beautiful creature ever to exist in this world. I saw the way your cheeks turned a bright pink when she smiled at you, and the way you tried to hide the smile growing on your face when you turned away from her.

She was gorgeous. She was intelligent. She was kind. She was loved by everyone. She was perfect.

And you loved her.
