11. I ALMOST FORGOT

Dear Ashton,

I saw you in the hallways again, you had the biggest smile on your face that made it so obvious just how happy you were today, and the moment I saw you, my heart soared as if it had grown wings out of the blue and flew right out of my chest to roam free across the skies. I tried to wave to you so you could acknowledge my presence, but upon seeing the beautiful girl standing beside you with a huge smile on her face, I felt my world shatter right in my face.

Of course, you only looked this happy when you were with her. She was the only one who could ever bring out the brightest smile on your face. She was the only one who could make you feel just like how you make me feel. She was the only one.

I can't believe that it almost slipped my mind.

I can't believe that I almost forgot that you were in love with someone else. Someone who isn't me.
