13. YOU KNEW HIM

Dear Ashton,

I am absolutely speechless right now. I couldn't believe how small this curious world is, now that I've found out that you're actually friends with my friend, Calum. I've always paid attention to you, as well as the people around you, but I have never seen him with you. Ever.

Okay, so maybe it's because I don't pay attention to the guys you talk to because I'm too focused on you to even care about them but I swear I've never seen him together with you before. Imagine my surprise when you greeted the Maori boy that accompanied me when it was time for lunch. I couldn't even hide my shock when you two casually spoke to one another like you were the best of friends. It took me a little while to get over my initial shock, and I also had to hide the fact that I was beyond ecstatic when I heard you say that you might start hanging out with the two of us even more.

And I just realized something after that encounter. I could talk to you without the need to come up with an excuse, we were both friends with Calum after all.
