why crave for infinity
when stability ties you down
to the comforts of routine
and the familiarity of
decent meals?
why lust for the stars
when deep inside, you feel
utterly safe and warm?
you know not of the unknown.
monsters hide behind shadows...
and yet, here you are.
up the water pipe you hike,
for nothing more but
a blurred dream.
you naive thing.
it's slippery here; always.
and embrace it you must.
forget those wily thoughts.
fall.
i beg of you; fall.
there is nothing here but crazed
madmen; lunatics who dreamt high
but never got down.
freedom blinds you.
the demolishing of walls destroys you.
you venture past boundaries
and you've altered your eyes.
foolish, foolish spider.
climb back down.
it never was worth it.
never at all.
