Chapter 25: Date Night

I'm staring at the walls of my bathroom. Cleansing myself. I heard my cellphone's tone, but then I just ignored it. Once I was done, I wrapped a towel to my waist. I grabbed my phone and read the massage. It's from my Mom.

FROM:ELIZABETH

Son, our flight will be moved this week. Your brother, Theo will announce her Luna next week. I'll inform you later.

Received- 6:57 pm

I sighed. Theodore is the son of her new husband. Ever since my father died, I have always spent time with myself. My mother said he loved my father, but she chose to be with his new husband and to form a new family. While me, I was left behind with responsibilities. I can't wish for my Mother to suffer, she deserves to be happy. I know father will be just as forgiving as I am.

I grabbed my pants and my shirt. I was in the middle of hanging when the door cast open. It's my Mate. I guess she got bored while waiting. Her surprised face is so cute. She remained silent and met my eyes. She wore a sky blue dress, it suits her pale skin and it follows her curves perfectly. She looks like a doll, she's not moving and her cheers are bright red.

"I-I'm-", she tried to compose her sentence.

. "You can at least knock." I teased her, Whatever happens, there's nothing cuter in this world than my angry bird Audrey.

. "Y-You're late so I decided to climb up here." She said, still tense.

"I'm sorry. I did some signing of papers today. I need to read all of them."I said and she nodded. She stood next to the door facing the wall I chuckled.

I texted my second beta Gabriel, he became busy because of the task I assigned him to and Dolan, my hunter. I asked them to scout and track the trespassers on my land. They came back last night and we all need to talk. I asked them to scout the land near the tower to make sure no one will invade my privacy and no harm to my Mate.

"I think it's time to go." I added and glanced at my watch.

"Err.. you should put some shirt on.", she said and pointed at me. I leaned closer and said."I thought you wanted me more like this."

"No!" She blurted out and pushed me back. I laughed, her face turned light red. She's beyond beautiful.

"Okay, okay" I said and put on my shirt. I glanced at my watch. It's passed seven.

"Let's go." she said. I nodded and grabbed her soft hand. I feel a tingling sensation every time I touch her skin. We went down and said goodbye to Madame Candice and Madame Beth. Rosette really pissed me off, She grabbed Aubrey's hand from me. I want to punch her face to the fullest and knock her down, but then my Mate stopped me. She kissed them all and said goodbye. Then Rosette whispered something on her face 'causing her to blush. I wonder what that is.Maybe an advice my wolf said to me 'For what?' I questioned, 'No clue' my wolf replied. As soon as they're done chatting, we made our way to my car and got in.

"Your chatting caused too much delay already." I said and glanced at her. She's holding her cellphone and typing simultaneously.

"It's better if they know." she said never leaving her attention on her phone. Can I just punch my cousin at least once?

"What are you doing?", I asked.

"Texting." she answered. She smiled while texting and I started to get irritated. "To whom?"

"Shane. Mind the road, Troy.", she commanded. This time her eyes met mine, I did when she said and mind the freaking road.

"We're almost there, get ready" I said and she nodded.

I stopped the car near the old shrine. Back then we were just kids, Aubrey doesn't want to go near it. She's always hiding at my back whenever we pass there but now, she doesn't show any emotion when I park the car. I got out first and opened the door for her. She smiled and held my hand. We walked all the way to the tower. She smiled at me.

This time, I'm surprised that she grabbed my hand and pulled me over. She looks happy and excited to finally come back here again. I can't deny it. I am too.

"I missed this, Troy.", she said and smiled at me. I blushed.

How could this woman make my heart flutter in just a simple smile?

Audrey Howey

"I missed this, Troy." I said and smiled. Madam Rosette told me to tell Troy what my heart really wanted to say, at first I have no idea. I consulted Shane about it and she told me the same thing. I liked Troy since we were just a kid, until now I felt the same thing. He's my punching bag. I adored him ever since, but as of now. I don't know if this is just a simple adoration or love?

He blushed and tried to cover his face out of embarrassment. I giggled and he hugged me. His warm body brushes mine as we dance to the wave of the wind. The cold night breeze makes me want to get even closer to him. His arms are always warm and his voice is melting my insides. His hands hold mine and provide security.

"I missed you more, Aubrey." he said with his calm voice. "I hope you'll enjoy this night."

He let go and we continued to walk. I can see the red glowing light right above the tower. I dragged my attention to the large acacia tree that we always hang a lot back then. I will always read books and Troy will listen but most of the time he will sleep. The pond near it reflects the bright big moon. The cold night breeze is brushing my skin and the grass swaying as it blows. I held Troy's hand and went to the huge acacia tree. I sat there and watched the breathtaking sight of the night. Troy followed and sat beside me. He pressed something at the part of the tree and a compartment came out a small yet, enough to hide a paper on it. Troy slowly took the paper and closed the small compartment back from its original position. He opened the paper and smiled at me before he read it.

I listened. "I, Troy Williams, promised to love Aubrey Howey for the rest of my life, and protect her at all cost until my last breath comes. I will never leave her side even if it will cost my life. Will you, Aubrey Howey accept?" he said and flipped the page and gave it to me.

"What?" I asked. This paper survived a decade? I wrote this letter a day before we left. This made Troy stop from crying.

"Your turn, sweetheart." He said. I frowned as I looked at the paper. It's the promise we wrote before we get separated. We promised to read it when the right time comes. I never thought we would.

"Audrey Howey promised to love Troy with all of her heart. I will stay with him until my last forever. I will love Troy for him and return and I will never leave his side." As I said the words written on the paper tears slowly flowed from my eyes.

How could I forget the promises we made. How could I forget about this? But, then we've been separated, I never felt so much importance. My father is always busy, he has no time for me. But Troy, he never left me. I looked at him and smiled. He pressed a gentle yet passionate kiss on my lips. I kissed him back. My tears continued to flow from my face. He hugged me and said,

"I don't want to see you crying." he said. I wiped my tears and he let go.

"Will you accept me, my Mate?" he said. I chuckled. What is this man talking about?
