Chapter 8: lilys surprise and DOUGHNUTS!!!!!

*lily POV*

It's was about 10 in the morning, oddly, none of the kids were up yet. When I had checked on them, Jessie was passed out on the floor, and Colby and Prince in their beds. I didn't understand why I spent 3 hours putting up that hammock and Jess was asleep on the FLOOR but I figured I'd ask the boys when they got up. I had sat down on the couch when I got a text from laur it said "Come to my house quick, I have a surprise for you 😉". It was really strange. I left a note on the counter and ran over to Laur's house. I barged into the door and shouted "WHAT'S THE EMERGENCY!!"
Just then I saw Caz walking down the stairs "the emergency is that you woke me up!!" She complained
"Laur told me to come quickly so I figured there was an emergency" I said laughing
"Oh, wait, I think he's gonna ask you today!!" She said giggling a bit as I walked upstairs, and walked to Laur's room. I knocked on the door as he opened it.
"Oh hey" He said laughing "you actually came!"
"Duh, what did you need" I said with a smile
"Well, see... I've known you a really long time and... I just can't do it anymore" He said looking at his feet
"Why, did I do something wrong?" I say concerned
"No, no, not in that way, I mean, I can't do JUST being you're friend, I want to be something more..." He says blushing at little
"Oh?" I say smirking
"Look lily, I know you aren't the type of person who likes to wait forever for love, so I'm gonna come out and say it... I love you..." He says slightly embarrassed
"A-and I like you too..." I say giggling
"Oh, then "He says pulling a bouquet of flowers from behind his back "will you go out with me?"
"Y-yes" I smile a ton. I look at my watch. "Oh god, it's 10:30 I have to go check on the kids!" I rush out the door I shout "Love you!" As I run out the door. I walk back to my house and open the door.
When I get inside I see colby, jessie, and Prince standing at the door crossing their arms. "Where were you?" Jessie says skeptically
"A-at Laur's house... why?" I say stuttering a bit
"We're hungry!!" The boys shout at me " we need food!!"
"You could've just eaten the powdered doughnuts in the cabinet ya know..." I say wide-eyed
"There's doughnuts?!?" Shouted Jess "Why didn't you tell me?!? Guys cmon, dig in!!" She shouts running to the cabinet unable to reach it. "Colby!! You're tall, get the doughnuts!!" She is very demanding at times, especially when it comes to food. She jumps up and down as Colby grabs the doughnuts and brings them to the table as Prince and her scatter over. Great, now she has more energy than she already has, just great.
