(Recap)

I walked up to my room and just as my hand went to the room door my phone rang. I glanced at the caller ID and it said Jake, pressing the answer button I said,

“Hey Jake, what’s up?”

“Emmaline we need to talk. I’m leaving.”

Chapter 14

“What you leaving? Where you going? Why you leaving? Is it because of me? I’m sorry Jake, I-“

“Whoa there little sis. It’s not because of you, it’s because I’m joining the Guardian Enforcers. I’ve applied months ago and went for the physical, and I’ve passed.”

“Guardian what now?”

“Guardian Enforcers. They’re this elite group of wolves that work for the council. They essentially clean up the rogues’ mess and protect our secret from the humans. They’re one of the best wolf fighters around.”

“So where is this place? Is it far from here?”

“Erm…Yeah afraid so little sis. Their base is in Alaska, I leave next week.”

“WHAT ALASKA! AND YOU’RE LEAVING NEXT WEEK? So soon, but I only just found you and you’re leaving me… again.”

“I’m sorry Snowflake, but I really want to do this. They could improve my skills in tracking and in fighting.”

“Jake… what am I supposed to do while you're becoming a mortal kombat fighter? Stay here and play school?”

“You’ll do fine. You got Hunter and your friends. I’ll always have my phone on so you’ll be able to reach me anytime.”

He sounded really excited and I didn’t want to rain on his parade. If its what he really wanted who am I to stand in his way? Sighing in defeat I said,

“Fine, but we going to need to spend some time together this weekend before you leave.”

“Of course and Snowflake, you really need to stop playing mortal kombat. That game is too violent for you.”
