Sera's POV

When I heard him say mine, I turned around and started running towards the forest that surrounded the field. If I was in my right mind, I would have probably realized that my mate could easily catch me, but right now, I had no idea what to do.

After about 5 steps, he grabbed me from my waist and I blushed when I felt a hardness against my back, maybe he should've put on some clothes.

"You're mine now," he clutched me closer. "What's your name?"

"Sera," I replied while looking down at the ground.

"My name's Nate," he responded. "I'm the alpha of the Dark Moon pack."

As soon as he said that, I froze. Then, I started to yell and kick against him. I scratched him and attempted to bite his arm.

"What the hell are you doing?" Nate looked confused as I tried to get out of his hold on me. "You're my mate, so stop kicking and listen to me."

"No!" I yelled. "You're the alpha in all our nightmares!"

"Stop yelling," he growled then tightened his grip on me. "You will be my luna and you will bear my pups, or else you will be punished."

I whimpered and continued to try to escape from his clasp. Even though I knew I was going to fail at this, I was going to make it as hard as I can for him to hold me.

"You leave me with no choice," he sighed. "Calm down dear, this won't hurt."

"Get off of me!" I bit his arm, but it had so much muscle that I probably hurt myself.

Nate flicked his hand towards one of his warriors, who then came with a cloth that looked like it was soaked with something. He put it over my mouth and clutched me closer as I lost consciousness.

Nate's POV

Once I placed Sera on my bed in the pack house, I sat down in the armchair next to it and stared down at my mate. Even in sleep, she amazed me. I ran a hand through her hair and cupped her cheek.

I was such an idiot, but I had no idea what to do to show her that I loved her, even though we had just met. The only woman I had ever loved was my mother, and she had died because I wasn't strong enough to protect her.

When I leant down to kiss her cheek, her eyes started to flutter open. She smiled up at me, then seemed to realize what situation she was in.

"Hello darling," I grinned down at her, which prompted her to start screaming for help.
