Time Limit: July 1 - August 15, 2016

Word Count: 2000+ (We're giving you a bit more time this month(s) so we would like something a little longer. Possibly a multipart-er)

Think: What happens when you put hundreds of kids out in the woods without cell phones or parental guidance?

IT'S SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No school, sunny weather, vacations, spending time with friends, and summer camp. Whether you've been yourself or heard stories, you know that anything can happen at summer camp. We want to see where you guys take it. Do your characters sneak out to the woods one night? Did a dragon show up? Were the ghost stories not just stories? "Ohmigosh you won't believe what sally did!"

All that kind of stuff. Take complete creative liberty. Teen fiction, fan fiction, fantasy, sci-fi? You decide. As long as it takes place around summer camp. We're talking sleep-away camps with other kids not camping with your family (although under normal circumstances, that can be funny too.)

We're giving you a month and a half to do this. We'd like something a little longer than a short story, maybe 3-5 parts as oppose to the one shots we usually ask for. It gives you more time to develop a plot and give your characters a real storyline.

Create your story in "My Works" and tag it with "YWContestSummer2016". If it doesn't show up in our "Contest Entries" reading list within a few days, just let us know and we'll add it.

As always, the top 3 will get a shout out in here and on the message board.
