HOUSE OF RETURN

Chapter 1

                                Jamal takes a deep breath and steps into the House of Hades for his second year back, marking the first day of 11th grade.
Elayna and Sami are standing in the main entrance, waiting to greet everyone.
"Jamal!" Sami shouts.
She runs up to him and gives him a hug.
"Hi, Sami." He smiles.
Sami blushes.
"Right back to Captain Third-Wheel, am I?"Elayna snickers.
"Elayna!" Jamal hugs Elayna.
Savanna comes in,"Guys!"
"Hey!" They shout.
They all hug.
Mark enters. "Hey."
Savanna turns and runs into Mark's arms.
She plants a kiss on him.
"Ew, get a room!" Elayna jokes.
Tyler and Hunter burst in. "Where's the food?!"
"Hunter!" Mark shouts.
"Tyler!" Jamal shouts.
Danya enters,"Sorry I'm late. There's a great frozen yogurt place down the street."
"Danya!" Jamal and Tyler shout.
They run to her and pull her into a hug.
Tyler goes to kiss her, but she pushes him away. "Um, I don't think so."
"You said we were dating!" Tyler whines.
"Um, I don't remember saying that," Danya continues.
"Ugh!" Tyler lets out.
Everyone laughs.
"Classic Tylanya." Elayna laughs.
The door opens and Annika walks in.
Jamal smiles,"Annika."
"Hey." She blushes.
They run to each other and hug.
"I missed you!" Jamal laughs.
"You're not the only one, lovebird," Danya remarks.
"Danya!" Annika exclaims.
Danya runs to Annika and hugs her. "You're the last one here. And I thought I would be."
"Lunch is ready!" Trudy shouts from the kitchen.
"Yes!" Savanna, Mark and Sami dash out.
Annika, Jamal, Danya, Elayna, Tyler and Hunter gather. "Sibuna."
They put one hand over their eye and smirk.
"We're having a secret Sibuna reunion meeting tonight in the attic." Annika states.
"Yay!" Elayna squeals.
They all go into the dining room where Savanna, Mark and Sami are sitting.
"What took you guys so long?" Mark asks.
"No reason!" Tyler lies.
"It's great to be back with all of you." Sami smiles.
"We all missed you." Savanna says.
Tyler sits next to Danya.
"Why are you here?" Danya groans.
"Why are you being so weird with me?" He asks.
"Because you're acting like we're a couple!"
"But we are! You said so last year!"
"I said I would go to the Dance with you. I said nothing about dating. Sorry." Danya gets up and sits next to Annika.
"Ouch." Hunter winces.
Tyler storms out.
"I thought you really liked him." Annika whispers to Danya. "You said after the Dance you started to have feelings for him."
"Huh, I don't remember that." Danya says.
Annika and Jamal roll their eyes.
Jamal takes Annika's hand,"This year is all about us finally getting to be a couple."
Annika blushes.
Sami rolls her eyes. "I can't believe this."
"He's dating her, remember?" Elayna says to her.
"Yeah, but he was dating me, too, until she came along."

That night, Victor shouts his usual,"You have 5 minutes precisely, and then I want to hear a pin drop."
He drops the pin and leaves.
"Some things never change." Jamal mutters as he waits out in the hallway for Tyler and Hunter.
In Tyler and Hunter's room, Tyler goes to Hunter.
"Come on! It's time for the Sibuna meeting!,"Tyler exclaims in excitement.
"I don't want to go." Hunter looks away.
"What? Why?" Tyler sits next to him.
"Last year, I had to kill somebody. I needed therapy over the summer because I couldn't sleep from having the same nightmare that I'm killing Rufus over and over again."
"Rufus is gone."
"But I don't want to be involved in Sibuna. Not after what it did to me. Go without me."
"But Hunter-"
"I'm out of Sibuna, Tyler! I want to get back to my normal life!"
"I understand....." Tyler looks down and walks out into the hallway and sees Jamal.

In the attic, Annika, Danya, and Elayna all enter.
"Ew, creepy." Danya mutters.
"Welcome back to the House of Creepiness!"Elayna jokes.
The door opens and Jamal and Tyler walk in.
"Hey, guys." Elayna smiles.
"Where's Hunter?" Annika asks.
Tyler frowns,"He doesn't want to be in Sibuna anymore. He said killing Rufus scarred him and he doesn't want to be involved anymore."
"Oh." Danya says. "Well, then it's back to us 5!"
"Sibuna." They all do the signal.
"I have something to say." Annika takes out the Cup and everyone gasps. "It was glowing in the stairs. People almost saw it! We have to find a new place to hide the Cup."
"Have you been practicing on your powers lately?" Jamal asks.
"Actually, I have." Annika stands and puts her hands out. Her hands start glowing in a gold color and she makes a sheet lift from the ground and start levitating.
"Awesome!" Everyone gasps.
"Woah, look at that!" Elayna points to the thing that was under the sheet, a dollhouse. With Sarah's name carved on to it.
"This must have been Sarah's!" Annika says.
"Usually I don't like dolls," Danya says,"but this is pretty sweet. It's a replica of Hades House. I'm keeping it."
"Take it another day." Elayna says. "Right now, we have to hide the Cup."
"Annika, your locket's glowing." Tyler says.
Annika sees where her locket is glowing to. A Hades symbol on the wall.
She put her locket on it and a tiny compartment opens up.
"It's empty." She says.
"But it could be a great place to hide the Cup!"Jamal suggests.
"Yes!" Annika places the Cup in the compartment and it closes. "Let's get back to bed. I'll check up on the Cup another day to make sure it's safe."
They all head downstairs and to their rooms.
