HOUSE OF RETURN

Chapter 4

The next day at school, Danya goes to Tyler.
"Since you completely failed the first part of my test," she says,"I'm changing it to gifts. You must give me a gift, you must be on a magazine cover, and you must have a ride."
"But those things are all impossible!" Tyler groans. "I'll never be able to be your boyfriend!"
"Let's hope!" Danya skips away.
Mark and Savanna go to Tyler.
"You guys are such a cute couple!" Savanna says.
"Wanna have a double date with us?" Mark asks.
"I wish." Tyler sighs and walks away.

After school at Hades House, Jamal walks Annika to her room.
"You really didn't have to do this." Annika giggles.
"I wanted to." Jamal blushes. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Annika looks in the bathroom and sees a woman, she blinks and it's gone.
"Jamal!" Annika gasps. "I think I just saw a ghost!"
"A ghost?" Jamal asks. "Everything just got back to normal. This year is for focusing on us! Not some crazy mystery all over again!"
"Maybe I'm just seeing things. See you tomorrow." Annika goes into her room and sees the dollhouse from the attic on Danya's bed.
Danya walks in and gasps.
"I almost forgot about this!" She smiles.
She goes to it and picks up a note from it.
'Does this count as a gift?'

Danya turns and sees Tyler.
"Did I do well?" He asks.
"Actually, you did." Danya says. "But it's not like your gonna pass my other tests."
"Oh, you just watch." Tyler runs off.
"I'm so glad I witnessed that cute moment."Annika laughs.
"Oh, please!" Danya gags.
They laugh.

That night, Annika wakes up in the middle of the night and sees the ghost woman walking out of the room.
She gasps and watches it as it goes up into the attic.
She follows it and sees nothing in the attic.
Her locket glows and she remembers to check up on the Cup in the secret compartment.
She puts her locket on the compartment and it opens up, revealing the Cup.
Annika sighs.
Then, a spirit is released from the Cup and takes form of the ghost woman.
She has dark, long hair and a dark dress with pale skin.
"It's you." The ghost whispers. "The Sorceress."
"Stay away from me!" Annika's powers glow around her.
"Your powers cannot compare to mine." The ghost releases dark powers and Annika's powers fade away.
"Who are you?" Annika backs away.
"Find the mask. It is what I need."
"What mask?" Annika asks.
"The Mask of Hades. Find it. Or I will murder you." The ghost fades away.
