"Marinette!"Alya exclaimed as she sat on her best friend's bed,watching her pace back and forth.

"MARINETTE!!!"She called out louder

"WHAT?!"Marinette shouted annoyed

"You've been pacing ever since I got here,maybe even before I got here!What is wrong?"Alya asked worried

"It's just that,Adrien is ignoring me.Maybe he decided to leave me because he saw me the way I see myself"Marinette said,muttering the last sentence

"Well,maybe he isn't feeling well"Alya suggested

"Sure...he suddenly doesn't feel well and talks to everyone except me.It is confirmed he has an allergy to Marinettes!"Marinette concluded,sarcastically.She rolled her eyes and slouched,sighing.
"Look,Alya.I just feel worried,you just don't start ignoring a person for no reason!He started ignoring me,I don't even know what happened.He started ignoring me the day after my birthday!"Marinette cried,keeping the whole freezing week a secret.

"I don't know,girl.Maybe he needs space"Alya said laying on the bed

"Space?"Marinette laughed dryly
"He has been ignoring me for four months already!"She rubbed her temples

"I don't get it.Before he was really happy,he was smiling and everything.Now he is so silent and emotionless"Alya observed

Marinette sighed sitting on her spinning chair.Resting her head on the desk,she closed her eyes.
"Just because someone looks happy,doesn't mean they actually are.After all,white roses have black shadows"She muttered

Alya nodded,she knew that her friend was really deep,especially when her heart hurts...

"Maybe he hated me all along,but then decided to pretend he was happy being my friend so that my feelings would be spared.Now,he probably gave up pretending.He's changed,a lot"Marinette said a tear running down her cheek

"Maybe there is a reason to this.We just have to find it"Alya said walking to her friend and patting her back with her hand.

"Yeah,I miss it when we were all friends.I mean,we used to talk everyday,now it's like we never met.It just hurts a lot,it's like we never said goodbye!Our friendship just ended!"Marinette sobbed

Alya frowned and hugged her

"Why don't we get your mind off of him"She said

"I can't"Marinette said

"Why?"Alya asked

"Because he inspires me.Adrien Agreste is my inspiration.He inspired me to be happy with that smile of his.And inspired me to be free with that always running around the park of his.He's my best friend"Marinette laughed sadly,wiping away her tears

"Oh,Marinette"Alya smiled
"Some day,he'll come around and he'll love you again"

"Wait,love?I just want to be best friends again"Marinette said nervously

"Oh,Marinette.Do you think you. could hide your soul secret from me?"Alya asked,raising an eyebrow pointing to a necklace in a box on her vanity sink.

Marinette gulped and laughed nervously

"Sorry.Well yeah,we love each other as like...friends.We promised to only be friends and to never ever fall in love with each other"Marinette said looking down at her hands

"Well,I have to go.I need to babysit my siblings and don't worry,I won't tell anyone"Alya said walking towards the trap door.
She froze for a second,smirked and turned around.
"And I have gotten a feeling that you are going to break that promise of yours in the future"
She said before turning back around and heading out.

Marinette dryly laughed again,saying:
"Oh,I won't Alya.Because...

I already did"

"Come one dude!What is wrong with you and Marinette?"Nino asked Adrien

The two were in Adrien's room watching television.

"It's nothing"Adrien said blankly

"Are you okay,Adrien?"Nino asked

"I'm fine"he answered

Nino looked at him confused and paused the tv and looked at his friend

"Dude,are you okay?You haven't smiled in a while"Nino said

"I'm fine"Adrien said

"Dude,I'm you best friend.You can tell me anything"Nino said

"I don't want to talk about it"Adrien said

"Adrien,just tell me.I promise I won't tell anyone"Nino said

"You sure you won't tell anyone?"Adrien asked concerned

"I promise"Nino said

"Well,it's just that I'm...um...I'm busy,yeah.Busy..."Adrien trailed off

"Adrien,bro.If you are so busy,why are you watching TV?And why are you only not talking to Marinette?"Nino asked

"It's just...it's just...I don't know.I can't explain it"Adrien gave up

"Spill"Nino demanded

"Fine.I just don't want to talk to her.It's complicated and no reason at all actually"Adrien said

"Adrien you're lying"Nino pointed out

"No,I'm not"Adrien defended

"Fine,I'll hand it to you this time.I need to go meet up with someone"Nino said walking

"Bye"Adrien waved

"See Ya!"Nino saluted before walking out the door

Adrien sighed and lay on his couch thinking about his life.
Why did he agree to do this.He missed her,but...sacrifice.
That is something you do when you love someone,right?
Was this really the right thing to do,ignoring her just because he was...never mind

Adrien rolled his eyes at himself and fell asleep on the couch.
