AN: If I'm writing this the way I imagined it in my head, it'll be hopefully more exciting! Another note, there will probably be several parts to this.
-------

I quickly scale the length of the ladder, soon reaching the top wall of the castle. Peering over the wall, I see Zhong Hui, looking somewhat dejected behind the bushes. He soon stands up, brushes himself off, and reunites with my husband and the others. Sighing, I realize that I can only hope that Zhong Hui doesn't tell anybody that I'm here. Wait a minute...it's not like I care anymore. My main goal is to prove myself in this battle, nothing more, nothing less. I drop down from the wall, tucking and rolling to a stop. Looking around, the castle is way too empty if all the Shu officers had retreated into here...
"Attack!"
Suddenly, several groups of Shu soldiers appear, along with Zhuge Liang's wife, Yue Ying. I draw back the hood of my cloak, not needing the stealth anymore.
"Very impressive ambush you set up here, Lady Yue Ying. I expected nothing less." Yue Ying frowns.
"I wish we had met under different circumstances, Lady (Y/N)," she admits, brushing some auburn hair to the side.
"But alas," she sighs, raising her dagger-axe. "I will someday create the land that my lord dreamed of!"
"Not on my watch!"
We charge towards each other, filled with adrenaline and rage. I would defeat Shu so I could aid in unifying China and bring peace to the war ravaged land. Bring peace to my beloved Shi...
Yue Ying swings her large, elegant dagger-axe towards my neck. I duck the blow and swiftly pull a dagger out of its sheath. The female strategist had left an opening. I drag the blade of my dagger across her ribcage, dodging again when she swings her weapon at me. Yue Ying clutches her bleeding abdomen in pain, the red liquid soaking her ivory garments. I leap backwards.
"Please, Lady Yue Ying," I plead with her.
"We don't have to fight. Surrender to us, and the land will finally be at peace."
"Peace? Under the Sima clan's rule?" She hisses through gritted teeth. Tightening her grip on her weapon, she raises her blood-stained hand in the air, signaling the attack. Several soldiers all charge toward me at once. I lunge forward, at Yue Ying, leaving the troops to impale themselves with their own swords and spears. She charges at me, swinging her dagger-axe in a downward slice. I don't dodge it in time, and unsheathe the other dagger, pushing it against the metal with all my might. I shove her back with a yell, the deadlock leaving my arms and wrists aching.
"Ah...I don't have time for this!" I groan, as the foot soldiers regain their bearings and run towards me. I slide out of the way and watch as they charge towards Yue Ying. She tries her best to block their attacks without hurting them. While she's distracted, I muster all of my body weight, and check her to the ground. Yue Ying lands heavily on the side she was injured.
"No...!" She breathes, each gasp filled with pain.
The ambush troops begin to retreat.
"My lord...I'm sorry..." She heaves. Grasping her abdomen, I watch her retreat into the night.
-------

Not long after I defeat Yue Ying, I stumble upon the remaining Guan offspring, Guan Xing, Guan Suo, and Guan Yinping.
"I shall avenge my fallen father and brother by defeating you!"
"Yinping! Wait!"
