Astrid's POV

When I woke up the next morning, the spot beside me was empty. I got out of bed, and when I opened the door, I noticed the familiar smell of breakfast. I walked downstairs and saw Hiccup standing in the kitchen. I sneaked up behind him and putted my hands in front of his eyes.
"Who is it?" I asked him.
"Hmmm, let me see, can it be the most beautiful girl in the world?" He asked.
"I think you need to be a little bit more specific."
"Okay, her name is Astrid, and she is my girlfriend." With that, he turned around, clutched my cheeks and kissed me on the lips. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him. He putted me on the table, and started to kiss me harder. I kissed him  back, until I remembered something. I pulled back, what earned me a sad face, and said:
"Weren't there coming visitors today?" Hiccup was doing God knows what in the mean time, and mumbled: "So?"
I laughed at his childish reaction.
"So, we should prepare for their arrival."
"Indeed, we should." And with that he went back to his business. I pulled him of me, looked him in the eye and said: "We need to make a good impression." He sighed.
"I hate it when you're right." He went back to cooking our breakfast, and sometime later we were eating our breakfast. After we were done, we headed for the docks. Gobber was already standing there, along with a few other villagers. When he spotted us, he walked over to us and said:"There not yet spotted, but everything is ready for when they arrive." He pointed to the horn, which was one of the first things we had prepared, and said:
"Bucket is standing there, and as soon as he sees them, he'll let us know." Just when he finished his story, we heard the horn blow. The visitors were almost here. We walked over to a spot where we had a better view at the approaching ship. Which made the ship so different then ours, was that there wasn't a single mark on it, as in no sign that made the ships personal. After a while, the ship  was here, and the people walked of the them. As soon as the chief, or better said king, walked of, I forgot about everyone else. He was huge. Sure, Vikings were huge, but compared to this man, they were nothing. When he walked, I noticed that he had only one foot left, just like Hiccup, on his left side. He had red hair and a beard, where you could see a hint of grey in. After him followed a woman with long brown hair, with a single strand of grey in it. They both looked interested, but the girl walking behind them looked like she wanted to be anywhere but here. She had wild curly red hair, and wore a dress that I swear couldn't fit well. The whole family walked over to us, and the king said:
"Hello, I'm Fergus, King of the Dunbroch clan. This is my wife, Eleanor," he pointed towards the brown haired woman. "My daughter Merida," That was the red haired girl. "And my sons..." He stopped talking and looked around. "Where are they?"
Just then, three red haired boys run off the ship, letting people and stuff fall when they passed by. When they wanted to pass us, King Fergus grabbed them and pulled them up.
"There you are. I was already looking for you." With the boys still lifted in the air, he turned his attention back to us.
"This are Harris, Hubert and Hamish, my three sons." He putted the boys back to the ground, which immediately started to cause chaos again after that. King Fergus looked after them a few seconds, and then held out his hand, and Hiccup took it.
"I'm Hiccup Horendous Haddock III," He said. Then he pointed at me. "And this is my girlfriend, Astrid Hofferson." I blushed at his comment. I took King Fergus' hand, and shook it. "Nice to meet you sir."
"Come, then I will show you the way to the house where you will be staying." Kiccup walked in front of the group while talking to King Fergus. I walked a little bit behind the group, and the someone said:
"You think you're so smart, do you?" I stopped, turned towards the voice, and saw Merida standing there.
"Sorry?" I asked. What is she talking about?
"Don't pretend like you don't what I'm talking about, you know it exactly." She gave me a death glare.
"Sorry, I really don't know what you're talking about." The group was already a few hundred meter in front of us, and hadn't noticed that we were missing. She walked closer to me, 'till we were only inches apart.
"Now listen very closely to me, you little sl*t." She pointed her finger finger ate me. "You're gonna stay away from Hiccup."
"And why would I do that?" She gave me smirk.
"Because I'm not gonna see my future husband and father of my children with someone like you." I saw red with anger at this moment, and my blood started to boil.
"You're future husband, who do you think that you are? Like he would want someone like you!" She just gave me a sweet smile.
"Oh, you will see..." And with that, she turned around and walked back to the group.
I've never hated someone who I only knew for ten minutes, nor have I hated someone so much, but this girl...
She's gonna die.
