Love At First Sight

Chapter 2

Laura's POV

Vanessa takes my by the arm and brings me to the living room. It wasn't exactly hurting my arm even though it should have, considering her hard grip, her knuckles turning a slight white. I was used to her attempts to scare me but gladly this has happened to me one too many times.

''Who are these people?'' Vanessa asked as she was letting off steam by breathing heavily.

''Do you know how Riker came last night?'' I said, earning a small furrowing of her brows then a quick nod.

''Yeah.'' She sounded almost as if she didn't quite remember that Ross was standing at the door with Riker yesterday night. She was so oblivious to the fact that he is Riker's younger brother. Sometimes you just gotta be smarter than your older siblings.

''Well this is rikers younger brother Ross. We met at school. So it was getting late so he decided to stay over for the night. And his mom came here this morning to see if he was alright.'' I explained as detailed as I could without saying a lot.

''Okay, I am letting this go for one time only.'' She warned and smiled playfully at me.

''Thanks.'' I smile back at her. We had hugged then headed back to the kitchen to drink some coffee with the others. After an hour stormie left and Vanessa went shopping so Ross and I could get ready for school.

When we were done getting ready for school it was 8:00am and school started in an hour so we decided to walk to school and we got to school early. So we sat by the doors sitting on the bench. School began. It ended.

About 4 months passed by and me and Ross became really close friends. We even came over to each others houses every day.

I'm really happy. But sometimes Ross has to practice with his band but I get to see him later or the next day anyway. It is actually so weird that Ross and I are still really close as friends affter four whole months. It's crazy to think that we are nothing more than friends.

So it was Saturday. About 1:00 am. Me and Ross were still texting almost making my eyes bleed.

Ross: Hey :)

Me: Hellooo ..

Ross: Where are you ??

Me: In my room, why ?

Ross: Nothing. Nevermind.

Me- What ?

Ross: No really, it's nothing.

Me: Okay then ... But I really want to show you something.

Ross: Okay :) Look out your window ...

I look out my window to see Ross sitting on one of the branches of the tree. He's a total lunatic.

Me: I thought I'd have to wait until later but I guess not.

I walk over to my room's balcony and let Ross in. He was never really the person to walk staright through the front door. But wait to be let in at my room's window.

''Ross what are you doing here?'' I ask, surprised he came this late at night. I'm tired and want to dream about unicorns and stuff that bring happiness into my life.

''I wanted to see you.'' He smiled, showing his pearly whites carelessly.

I smiled. He smiled again. We locked eyes. Again.

''So, uh, what did you want to show me?'' He cleared his throat, looking away from me. What was that? Did I have some sort of cabbage or spinach stuff in between my teeth?
