Chapter 10

Laura's POV

Me- hey:)

Stormie- Hi.

Me- smells so good in here!

Stormie- thanks. Just whipping up some dinner.

Me- do you need any help with anything?

Stormie- actually yes if you don't mind.

Me- not at all.

Stormie- okay well Im gonna need you to go set the table for me, dear.

Me- sure!

I go get the materials that I needed to set the table. I finished after a couple minutes.

Stormie- thank you.

Me- no problem. Anything else I can do for you?

Stormie- dinners ready so you can call everyone.

Me- okay.

I walk into the family room to see Rydel and ryland watching tv.

Me- dinner time!

They got up and Riker and rocky were in the room next to it so I guess they heard me also so they all got up and walked to the kitchen.

I go upstairs and open Ross' door and see he's watching Romeo and Juliet.

I walked inside.

Me- Ross, it's dinner time!

He pulled me down beside him.

Me- I can't watch I'm gonna cry.

I see tears roll down Ross' cheek so I lightly kiss him where his tears were falling.

Me- c'mon Ross, it's dinner time.

I wipe his tears with my sleeve and we get downstairs to eat dinner.

Me- stormie, this is delicious!

Stormie- thank you:)

I get a call from Vanessa.

Me- um.. Excuse me, I gotta take this.

I walk to the family room.

- CONVO -

Vanessa- where are you?

Me- I'm at the lynchs!

Vanessa- well come home now! It's an emergency!

Me- we were eating dinner!

Vanessa- okay come as soon as possible!

Me- bye.

- END OF CONVO -

What emergency?

I walk back to the dinner table.

Mark- is everything alright?

Me- there's an emergency.

Stormie- what happened?

Me- I don't know.

I finish eating, put my plate on the counter then kiss Ross on the cheek and leave.

I walk into the house.

Vanessa- LAURA!!!!!!

She came running to me crying.

Me- what happened?

Vanessa- aunt lilyannette has cancer!

Me- what!

I started crying with Vanessa and we headed over to the hospital.

I called Ross as we were waiting in the waiting room.

- CONVO -

Me- Ross! *sniff*

Ross- what happened?

Me- cancer. My aunt Lilyannette has cancer.

Ross- I'm so sorry! Are you at the hospital?

Me- yeah*crying*

Ross- ill be right there!

- END OF CONVO -

He's here in about 2 minutes with Rydel.

Ross and Rydel sit beside me and Vanessa in the waiting room.

The Nurse came out with a clipboard and didnt have a smile on her face at all.

Nurse- she has a very severe cancer type and we have never seen anything like it before. Since its so severe she will probably only last a couple weeks, possibly days.

Me and Vanessa cry so much.

Ross and Rydel try to comfort us but its no use.

Nurse- you may come in to see her now.

We walk in and see her awake. I saw uncle Gasper sitting on the bed beside her. He was crying until he saw us.

Me and Vanessa came running over to him and hugged him.

Vanessa- she's only 38.

Ross and Rydel looked shocked.

We all started crying.

Aunt lily- so great to see you guys.

We hugged her and talked for a while.

Aunt lily- so who are these two fine people?

Me- this is my friend Rydel and my best friend Ross.

Uncle Gasper- it's nice to meet you both.

Me- we have to go now but ill see you soon!

Uncle and aunt- bye!

We walk out of the hospital and go to my house.
