A/N: I'm currently in America, so updates will be slow as I have no wifi. But I'm going to Maine on Friday, so I will have wifi.

I remember those days in skerries, the rain, the snow, the sun. I remember it all. Even how the green in Halia's eyes changed, starting as green as the leaf of a rose, then as spring turns slowly to summer it changes to a lighter, more dull shade that brought a aura of extreme beauty to her face, not that it wasn't always there but this was a different kind of beauty, it was one of soft, light colours, one that I will remember until the day I die. Then came the extreme green again, making up for the leaves that had now fallen to the ground in a patchwork of orange, reds and yellows. The winter, now that was my favorite. Her eyes grew like a pine forest, it's green leaves growing until it has no more room. That was my favorite thing about skerries, just enough exposure to notice a difference in the thick forest in my loves eyes.
I stood up and grabbed a beer, I knew Halia wouldn't be home for a while so I had time. The bottle opener on my keys was not used very often, meaning I had little or no experience with it. With four or five attempts the top came off bringing some drink with it. I brought the beer up to my lips and drank, the firey liquid burned the back of my throat. I don't understand how people like this so much, I mean it's just a drink, just a drink that destroyed people's lives, put them on the street, even killed them. Kind of like love to be honest.
I heard the door open, l leapt to my feet, "okay so they said it was a chest infection and I was just paranoid" I hugged her. "Thank god". I nuzzled my head into her neck, she hugged me tighter, we remained like that for a while, our breaths as one. "Can we sit down" I pulled her to the couch, "not like I have much of a choice" she chuckled. "Te iubesc", "I love you too bean, now stop speaking Romanian into my neck it tickles" she began to tickle me, we fell into a fit of laughter.
