Uhmmm...Hehehehehe…
'Yan na 'yan ang reaksyon ko after na mag-register ng "You are at the end of the story" ang Wattpad ng phone ko.
Sa puntong ito, wala akong masyadong analysis na masasabi dito katulad ng ibang books na nasa listahan na ito. Distracted kasi ako habang nagbabasa nito. Nadi-distract ako sa internal dialogue na tumatakbo sa isip ko:
"What is this?"
"Oh, parang slice of life. Okaaay."
"Are they flirting? Hindi naman siguro. Horror movie ang pinapanood nila paano magfi-flirt." (Sabay tingin muli sa genre ng story) "Paranormal daw ito. Wait wait lang muna, Pauline."
"I think they are flirting. Or at least the guy is. Oblivious lang itong girl."
After mabasa ko ang highlight ng kuwento:
"Oookaayyy. This is all about flirting and that guy… That guy is a tease… And this girl, c'mon lass, get a freaking clue!!!"
After mabasa ko ang last sentence, I burst out laughing:
"Okay, that was not flirting. That was the guy's version of foreplay."
And ngumisi na ako na parang timang the whole time nire-replay ko sa brain ko ang nabasa ko.
Nadaya ako ng author sa genre na pinili niya. Paranormal daw ito eh hindi naman. Pero buti na lang sa wrong category niya ito nailagay. Kung hindi eh di hindi ko ito nadiskubre. Nakuha ko ito ng mga araw na sabi ko gusto ko magbasa ng ibang genre. At dahil nasa paranormal daw siya at mukhang interesting ang picture binasa ko na, Toinkz. I should have read the title carefully. LABIstori nga daw 'di ba?
Anyway, first, I enjoyed this immensely. As in super. Simple ang humor pero hindi papalya sa pagpapangiti sa'yo. Misleading ang title pero I understand bakit 'yon ang napili niya. Swak pa rin sa kuwento. And in fairness, kahit maikli, super smooth ang flow ng kuwento at thrilling ang ride. Walang sabit. Butterlies in my tummy. From beginning 'til end. I like this Jude guy. Where can I buy someone like him, kissmyredlips? If I have a Jude in my life right now, kokolektahin ko lahat ng top-grossing horror films and watch them all with him all night. Kahit whole day, puwede na rin.
To the potential readers, sorry kung mukhang sabog ako kasi talaga namang high pa ako sa kuwento. Hahahaha. Isa lang recommendation na maibibigay ko kung bakit kailangan mo itong basahin. If I have to rate all short stories I've read in my whole life (Yup! Whole life talaga), this is a classic for me. As in one of those na nasa top. By the way, when I say all short stories, as in all. Pati 'yong mga recommended reading sa school ha. Kaya, utang na loob, pare ko, give this a try at nang may kasama naman akong sabog dito.
P.S. Ang 4 out of 10 na makakagets ng ending ay hindi na masyadong inosente. Just saying =)
