So you're a year older,
sixteen in fact.
You may think,
it's been too fast
a passing of time.
You may have seen some things,
lots of things,
those sixteen should not yet gaze.
But life doesn't stop there.
Whether the worst has come,
or the worst is still coming,
you're sixteen now.
Not an adult,
but not a child.
Not a teen too awkward,
but not a teen too mature.
Not everything has to change,
not so quickly at least.
Enjoy though,
because eventually
nothing will ever be the same.
