Oh how I used let you cuddle me,
and how you let me cuddle you.
Always protecting me from the scary thoughts,
you hid me away from them at night underneath you.
You were like a big spoon,
surrounding me while I hugged your comforting corner.
I hear they rest on clouds up there,
you're my proof heaven exists here too.
But you're not so creepy as a spooner,
Not an exaggerated protector or angel's bed.
Blankie, you're just a hug,
But that word means everything
