"Papy, darling~?" Mettaton's voice blared in Papyrus' ear, as he felt two arms wrap around his neck from behind. "Wh-What is it, Mettaton?" He answered. "Have you ever thought about being a star?" Mettaton asked, leaning towards the left and forward, so he fell right into Papyrus' arms. "Oh geez," He mumbled, catching the robot just in time.

"A star, you ask? Oh, no, Mettaton. You do know my dreams of being in the Royal Guard!" Papyrus answered, waving his hand casually. "Oh, trust me, you never shut up about it." Mettaton snickered. "But why not reconsider? After all, you do have the great attitude - and body, if I may say so." He chuckled.

"Is that a flirt, Mr. Mettaton?" Papyrus taunted, knowing exactly where he was going with this. "Mhmm, well, only if it's working though." Mettaton answered, making Papyrus lean foward by tightening the grip around his neck. "Well, if I, The Great Papyrus, would be truthful.."

Papyrus dropped Mettaton.

He let loose of the star's waist unexpectedly, and Mettaton only just in time stuck out his hands to break his fall. "Excuse me, Papyrus?!" He screamed, voice raspy.

"Well, being a star takes a lot of time and talent, some talent that I do not control yet. So that takes practice, and..." Mettaton just watched in awe and offence how the self-centered skeleton went on about the job he didn't want.

"I can't believe what just happened." He stated once Papyrus was done chanting. "First of all you drop me, then go on insulting my career?" He got up from the ground, dusting off his leggings. "That is by far the most embarressing thing that has ever happened to me."

"Oh but I wasn't insulting your wonderful career, Mettaton." Papyrus started, to which Mettaton just scoffed. "I was simply implying that I don't have that talent, but you do." He said. The smaller was caught off guard by that compliment. "Pap...Papyrus... That...?" He stammered, not able to find the right words. It just got worse, when Papyrus wrapped his arm around his waist.

"So you should just continue what you're doing and not let anyone change your mind." Papyrus said, resting his forehead gently on his. Mettaton blushed deeply, afraid to look into his eyes. "You planned this, didn't you?" He said shyly, chuckling. "Yes I did, dear Mettaton. Is this another victory for The Great Papyrus?"

Mettaton just smiled widely and kissed him, wrapping his arms around his neck.
