CHAPTER 58
nandini's words had frozen him. For a second his heart stopped beating. It was not something he didnt want to hear ever in his life rather something which he wanted to hear more than anything but was unexpected for him. within these 3 months manik had completely forgotten about her accident, about those nightmares which they both had witnessed and overcome together, her cries, his cries, their support to each other, everything. He was more than happy with her the way they were but this news of hers stopped his brain working. he didnt know how to react, what to say, he was standing in front of her like a statue . nandini knew he was hell shocked and surprised to hear this news. If he was stunned she was also no less. her tears brimming down from her eyes, the stammering while speaking and with her shaky hands she took his right hand between her palms and slowly placed it on her tummy

as soon as she placed it on her tummy he blinked his eyes for the first time after hearing those words and tears skipped from the corner of his eyes. how cute he was looking she thought. In between her tears she had the brightest smile across her face. she held him by his shoulders and shook him a bit.

he still didn't have anything to say rather than kept looking at his hand which was placed on her tummy. slowly he sat on his knees not moving his hand from her stomach. he lightly caressed her stomach over the fabric she was wearing. she knew what he was going through, the want of a child , the crave for their child was something he wanted more than her and nandini herself knew this thing. He always used to keep his feelings to himself so that she doesnt feel guilty but the truth was known to everybody. Before nandini's accident manik always used to say to her "jaan, once you will become pregnant na, dont say Manik I'm pregnant, always say Manik.. We Are Pregnant" and she was like blushing and nodding in a yes.

finally he spoke, she closed her eyes and let her tears brim down faster and falling down on his cheeks. he smiled to the brightest and hugged her by waist tigthly and began to cry like a baby itself. he kissed her tummy numerous times and uttering "thank you" looking up at the sky, to her ayippa. and nandini standing their admiring him was ruffling his hair with her fingers. she bent down her head and placed a kiss on his head. manik finally managed to look up directly into her eyes and stood up cupping her face in his shaky hands
m=tum sach keh rahiho nandini??
how innocently he was asking her to reassure it again and again.. in reply she cupped his face in her both hands and kissed his forehead

he didnt let her finish and pulled her into a bone crashing hug and began to sob hard. his embrace was so tight that her muscles were aching but she didnt feel the pain rather kept on rubbing his back while he was sobbing and smiling at the same time. for a moment manik thought he was dreaming , he was in the most beautiful dream land but then he came back to reality and understood it was actually happening. Atlast, finally God answered their prayers . he broke the hug and began to kiss her madly all over her face. His happiness knew no bounds at that moment and she stood there surrendered to him watching him go insane hearing the news.

she held him by shoulders and wiped the tears from his eyes

m=ssshh.. aj kuch mat kehna, dont ask me to calm down today. nandini u cant imagine, what i am feeling right now! esa lagraha ha ke ... kya kahu tumse. i seriously dont know how to express my happiness, jaan finally!!! humara baby...
she blushed hearing this and nodded in a yes
m=but... how.. i mean tumhe kab pata chala..and...
nandini smiled and took a deep breath
Nandinis POV
It all started when we were back from mangalore. tumhare ghar aneke baad se mujhe kuch ajeeb lagne laga tha, something new inside me. kuch alag tarah ki symptoms, feeling tasteless, all on a sudden headaches and so on. ekdin kuch zyada chakkar ane laga tha. I thought ke gharpar tum ya kisi aurko pata nahi chalna chahiye that um feeling sick so i myself decided to do a test , general blood test . I asked soniya to do my tests as she had handled my case before also. usne kaha ke thora time lagega as she needs to verify whether everything is okay or not and before the reports are out usne kaha ke tumse share na karu. isiliye maine kisise kuch nahi kaha. abhi thori der pehle, party me uska call aya tha and she said to me that um two weeks pregnant. pehle mujhe yakeen nahi hua, but then she sent me a screenshot of my own reports. she did my test 3 times just to reconfirm it... manik, i was speechless, main tumhe bata nahi sakti how ... kaise maine khudko sambhala. i felt to just crash into your arms but party chalrahithi toa... par main khudko rokh bhi nahi payi thats why I brought you here, at the beach, our favourite place.
he listened to her each and every word carefully with love in his eyes. today manik was not being tired thanking her ayippa for this wonderful gift to them. he pulled her in his arms for another embrace and she happily hugged him back

It was around 1 am midnight when manik and nandinir returned back home. as everybody were sleeping so they decided to reveal this good news the next morning in presence of everyone. The night was surely one of the longest one for MaNan. none of them were able to sleep rather than cuddled up with eachother. the smile in manik's face was not fading away even for a moment. he kept on stroking nandini's hair who had her head on his chest closing her eyes and feeling him close to himself. suddenly a question striked into manik's head

m=are there any complications in your pregnancy
nandini opened her eyes and looked at him. His eyes were desperately waiting for her answer. they had fear in them.
m=please dont lie to me nandini, tum janti ho, nothing is more important than you to me... aur
n=ssshh manik, calm down. manik just believe in ayippa, um sure koi problem nahi hogi. itne prayers ke baat unhone humari iccha ko kabul kiya ha, manik.. have faith sab accha hoga aur rahi bat complications ki toa woh sonia ne kaha ha ke tests ke baad pata chalega
m=tests kab ha?

manik nodded and pulled her back close to him and kissed her forehead

Next Day
A big day for MaNan as they were going to reveal this big news to their family members. manik was pacing in the room from this corner to that corner when nandini opened her eyes only to find manik walking from here to there
n=manik tum kya karraheho??
nandini said rubbing her eyes like a baby and sitting on the bed. manik sat in front of her holding her hands with a nervous look
m=jaan um damn nervous
n=nervous?? for what??
m=hum sabse kya kahenge? matlab kaise kahenge?? kitna ajeeb lagta ha na..tumhe pata ha main subhah se practice karraha hu ke yeh baat mom dad ke samne kaise kahunga. i mean its so weird
nandini bursted into laughter and manik was even more confused
n=oh god manik tum kitne cute ho (she said pulling his cheeks)

n=aur nahi toa kya, tum toa ese ghabra raheho as if ke koi exam dene jaraheho... manik chill.. humhe gharme yeh good news sabke sath share karni ha thats it. they are our family, obviously woh sab bhi humare jaise khush hi honge right??? aur manik please tum bare hojaw, i cant handle two kids now.
manik smirked and pecked her lips

saying he seductively nibbles her right cheek and then gives her a love bite in the crook of her neck. nandini shyly pushes him away and walks upto the dresser room where he follows her.

manik pulls her closer to himself with a jerk and then slowly pins her against the dresser door
m=get one thing clear in your mind. nothing can stop me get closer to you ever, baby ke aneke baad bhi, trust me, nothing is gonna change between us, we'll balance it okay?
saying he winks at her and she snakes her hands around his neck
n=acha, and midnight ko jab baby rone lagega tab interupption nahi hogi romance me??
m=hmm so toa hoga, but no worries, once we put the baby into sleep again, we;ll resume what we had paused.

manik and nandini comes downstairs with a smile on their face and exchanging looks to eachother

he was out of words, how to tell this, where to start. he himself was still in a shock and now he was going to give others the same shock too
raj=manik what happened beta? anything serious?
manik smiled and sat in front of his parents holding their hands
m=mom apko yaad ha, jab bachpan me mukti aur main din rat apko pareshan karte the, ap humesha mere peeche milk ki glass lekar pure ghar me dourti thi, mukti jab khana khanekeliye mana karti thi.. ap dad se kehti thi ke, bacche bohot badmash hogaye ha, ek baat nahi sunte aur tab dad smile karke kehte the ke, let them do it, bacche hain after all. inke shaitanio ki wajase humara ghar ek ghar lagta ha. then ap kehti thi, correct, jab yeh humari stage par ayenge tab unhe pata chalega ke yeh sab feelings kitna accha ha , aur beautiful ha.
nyonika and raj were already confused hearing manik's words looking at eachother.

everybody around them "WHAT ??!! ". nyonika who was till now sitting in a relaxed way grabbed maniks shoulder in excitement to hear it in clear words.

mukti alya navya had already jumped over nandini hugging her tightly , raj hugged manik tightly. cabir druv and abhimanyu too hugged and congratulated nandini one by one. nyonika got up and kissed nandini's forehead
ny=main bata nahi sakti beta ke yeh news sunke how happy I am. congratulations nandu, finally you got what u deserve

she took blessings from both raj and nyonika while manik was being congratulated by his friends
mu=okay okay hang on.. main bua banne wali hu... God !!! dekhna main na apni niece ko ekdam top model banaungi meri tarah

raj=ek minute ek minute... take a deep breathe all of you. yeh sab decided karnekeliye bohot time ha. but now
raj holds nandini by her shoulders and kisses her forehead
raj=thanks beta, for giving us this splendid moment, we are all so much happy for u that we cant even express, nandini beta u and manik faced many difficulties so far but tumhari mom aur main humesha kehte the na, wait for the right time, sab theek hoga and see. abse no tears in my daughters eyes and manik, tujhe responsibility deta hu main, besides us u have to take extra extra care of her, and nandini beta you too have to be very much careful about everything okay?

as soon as nandinig put her phone down manik hugged her from back and kissed on her cheek

n=ha.. mummy toa wahise nachne laggayi.. aur peechese papa ki excitement.. mummy ne bola next week woh log wapas araha ha mangalore se, waise mr malhotra, its 10 am ap abhi tak office nahi gaye?

manik said in a serious tone nuzzling in her hair

nandini laughs and turns around
n=manik.. tum na ekdam budhu ho. gharme mom ha and im sure ke yeh news sunne ke bad mukti alya navya sablog daily ane wale ha so tum kyu nahi office jaoge? aur wasebhi.. baby ko aneme abhi kafi time ha...toa tum kya 9 months gharpe bethe rahoge?

m=jaan... im serious about this. main sachme har yeh pal, ek ek minute second of these 9 months tumhare sath experience karna chahta hu. i dont wanna leave u alone for any single moment
nandini smiled and kissed his hands
n=manik.. tum humesha mere sath ho, humesha i know. we will enjoy all these moments together i promise but manik kaam bhi important ha na? dad pura business akele kaise manage karenge? cabir druv kaise sare albums ko complete karenge, manik its not right na? and i promise ke main apna pura dhyan dungi. sacchi..aur wasebhi baby ko jab pata chalega ke papa ne uski wajase kaam chor diya, so baby ko kitna bura lagega na? so?? tum jaldise ready hojaw and go to office
nandini turned to take out his clothes from the cupboard but manik pulled her back to him and fused his lips with hers. she for once wasnt surprised as she knew he was being restless to kiss her. their kiss was disturbed when nandini's phone rang
