CHAPTER 64 A
it was around 11 pm at night. nandini was lying on her elbow on the bed and staring at her 3 months old baby girl, her and manik's princess and manik's jaan Aashi (smile). though nandini wanted to name their girl Kavya, but the day she was born, the smile on manik's face while holding her for the first time.. nandini decided to name her Aashi as she bought the brightest and more beautiful smile on manik's face. nandini was admiring her child when she heard the sound of horn which means he had returned from office. nandini kissed her forehead and carefully went out of the room not waking her baby up. she went downstairs and saw him entering the house full of tiredness. she went upto him and hugged him. it was his daily routine, whenever he returned from office, he told her to come and greet him cause he believed that it helped to reduce his tiredness in a jiffy.

n=haa thorider pehlehi dudh peekar soyi hain aur mom dad ka call aya tha, they are coming back tomorrow.

after returning home from office, before even changing or drinking water he needed to watch his angel, kiss his angel. he slowly took her tiny fingers in his hand and kissed them.

at the dinner table, nandini and manik were sharing food from one plate . like always, they were feeding eachother. after aashi's coming, MaNan's lives had become even more beautiful. they were complete now, they had a complete happy family. aashi was everyone's ladli, only heiress of Malhotra's. The lifeline and weakness of her parents, cinderalla of her grandpa, dil ka tukra of her dadi, the future diva for alya and mukti, whereas the new sweet female champ of her chachu's druv, cabir and ofcourse her fufaji abhi.

manik helped nandini now also in the household chores whenever it was possible for him. he knew her job had increased even more now. nandini now not only use to take care of aashi, but also sometimes she has to visit the hospital. throughout this year she got promotion and now interns work under her. moreover she is also there for her family humesha. being the most ever caring and adorable hubby, manik helps her in terms of aashi all the time as he himself loves to be with both of them most of the time of his day. but it was also a fact that, after aashi came into their lives, though there was not any distance between them but the time being just only "MaNan" had reduced. Both of them were also aware of this but still they didnt mind as they knew the love was still the same and growing even more day by day. whenever manik tried to love her she didnt stop him but there was something related to aashi and both of them forgot about their own wishes and desires. now the priority of both of them was Aashi, the blessing they got from ayippa after so many problems and phases
aashi was peacefully sleeping in her little bed infront of MaNan's bed and MaNan were cuddling to eachother. nandini was lying on his chest and maniks fingers were caressing her hair

nandini smiled and manik smirked. she looked at him and pecked his chin

FLASHBACK
after returning from alibagh, everyone were back to their normal lives. for nandini, it was beginning of her third month and manik's patience was also reducing as he was desperately waiting for the little one to arrive. after coming back from the farmhouse, manik one day took nandini for her routine checkup.
soniya=so, how was diwali celebrations??

soniya=woh toa uski smile dekkar pata chal raha hain
m=ya, wase soniya, aur kitna time lagega checkup karneme? i mean its been
soniya=manik its been only ten minutes, tum itna ghabrawge then kaise chalega? and its just routine checkup.. regular blood test and all that just to ensure ke jo diet chart aur medicines maine nandini ko prescribe kiya ha they are okay or not for her and the baby
m=ya but still... main nahi jasakta kya path lab mein??
soniya=manik just relax.. tum ese ghabrawge then nandini ko kaun sambhalega and now u have to be even more patience
m=why?? ab kya hoga..i mean..
soniya smiles and gives manik a glass of water
soniya=pani peeyo, and dont worry i was just talking about her mood swings, its her third month and so her mood swings will begin now
m=mood swings as in???
soniya=ghabraw mat, its just ke.. pregnancy ke dauran ladkio ka mind kab kya sochta ha aur karna chahta hain we cant guess. unhe kabhi kabhi bohot irritation hoti hain, choti choti bat par zid karne lagti hain, jhagra karne lagti hain, kuch khaneka maan nahi hota, tor phor karti hain..yeh nahi woh chahiye hota hain yeh sab.. for example nandini tumse kabhi kahegi ke usse raat ke 2 baje icecream khani hai of that particular flavour, ya phir 3 baje kahegi she wants to watch movie.. like this.
manik was listening to all these very much carefully as he was taking all these things very much serious
m=but..yeh sab ...
soniya=yeh sab common ha, har pregnant ladki ke sath hota hain, umm mrs malhotra, tumhari mom.. u can ask her she will be able to tell u in details and make u understand well but yes i can only tell ke iska sirf ek hi upay ha to control this

soniya=love and care.. manik yeh jo nine months hote hai na? bohot sensitive hote hain. hum girls ko lagta ha ke we are burden, humse koi pyar nahi karta, we create problems for our families.. we become insecure and thats why we are frustrated .. we feel guilt and irritation.. and thats why.. these mood swings sometimes happen. humhe kuch accha nahi lagta.
manik was about to say something when nandini entered with a nurse. manik got up and held her and made her sit on the chair
soniya=reports kal tak mil jayenge..

soniya=its okay manik, i'll come to ur home and give it. isi bahane nandini se mil bhi lungi.. but i must sat pura hospital nandini ko bohot miss karta hain, specially the kids

mukti takes nandini upstairs and manik goes inside the kitchen. he sees nyonika was alone there and cooking something. he went inside and took out water bottle from the fridge which caught nyonika's attention
ny=are manik tu agaya?? nandini kaha ha? kaisa raha checkup?
m=ya checkup was okay. reports kal miljayenge.. and nandini upar ha fresh hone gayi hain
ny=chalo accha ha.. pizza is almost ready nandini fresh hoke ajay then she'll have it
m=pizza?? mom apne banaya??
ny=ha... ab ese halat me i cant trust the outside food so nandini kelie sab home made khana ..
m=mom apko kaise pata chala ke usse pizza khana ha? i mean nandini ne apse kaha?
ny=beta usne nahi bola, but i felt that i should make this for her. kya ha na, during pregnancy our taste becomes different, humesha we want to try something different, spicy yet healthy. thats why, for lunch i made this pizza for her, raatko khaneme khichdi bana dungi. tujhe pata ha jab tu ane wala tha , tere dad ne seven different chefs from different countries bulaye the mere lie , kab mujhe kya khana pasand ho aur mujhe woh usi time mile thats why

manik made her sit down on the chair and he himself sat infront of her holding her hands
m=mom, aj soniya mujhe kehrahi thi ke esi halat me mood swings hote hain, kuch accha nahi lagta i mean...
nyonika smiled and caressed his cheek
ny=tu ghabra mat, i can understand yeh sab tujhe thora ajeeb lagraha ha but yeh sab normal ha beta. dekh esi halat me, we want attention and care. humhe lagta ha ke we are burden to our families, takleef dete hain hum unhe thats why they will go away, hum kisi bhi cheese se satisfied nahi rehte thats why we become irritated in the slightest things. but tu tension mat le, iska sabse simple way ha, love and care jo tu nandini ko jaan se barkar karta hain. aur hum sab ha na... sab milke uska khayal rakhenge.
manik smiled and put his head on her lap
m=mom how come u make everything so simple for me?
ny=cause um ur mom.. and i know ke tujhe is waqt kaisa lagraha hai, tere dad bhi is daur se guzre the, humari shadi ke ek saal ke bad bhi sabkuch normal honeke bad koi hope nahi tha of baby, tere dad kitne upset hue the i know still he always loved me, aur phir after two years jab unhe pata chala ke im pregnant he was out of the world, aur phir tu aya humari life me. thats why, tu apne dad ka ladla ha, he sees himself in u, loves u the most. and then jab mukti ayi, our family was complete. aur ab, mera beta itna bara hogaya ha ke khud papa banne wala hain

At night,
manik made nandini eat her medicine and then comfortably made her lie down on the bed and put the blanket over her. he pecked her forehead and then her tummy
m=tum sojaw, um in the study, kuch kaam ha
n=manik, please mere pass betho na, i want u to be with me right now
manik could sense that it must be her mood right now to be with him or else nandini didnt ever stop him from working . he remembered soniya's words "love and care" also nyonika said he had to agree to nandini's every wish but being careful. manik smiled and lied down beside her and she happily snuggled to him

n=manik seriously u were talking about mood swings, how cute..
m=i didnt know thats why.. mujhe laga ke kuch serious
she didnt let him complete and pulled his face close to her and sealed her lips with his. it was a sudden kiss which ended soon. both rested their foreheads together

she made a pouty face and he pecked her lips
m=cause right now its not safe for u
n=kisne kaha tumse?? aur..
m=ssshh doesnt matter if im not loving u physically, isnt my virtual and spiritual love enough for u??
she smiled and kissed his nose
n=more than anything, aur wasebhi u already gave me ur heart which is the best thing for me
he kissed her both eyes and then slowly sang a lullaby for her and soon nandini drifted into sleep.

CHAPTER 64 B
MaNan were cuddling to eachother when suddenly aashi began to cry. both of them quickly got up from the bed and rushed to her. manik gently picked her up in his arms and kissed her tiny little face
m=ole kya hua meri jaan ko? mera baccha shona.. kyu roraha ha??? papa is here na.. sssh chup hoja
nandini sat on the bed and watched the most beautiful sight infront of her eyes. she loved this sight very much. the outside world would never believe unless they saw this sight, the rough and tough Manik Malhotra like this. her thoughts were interrupted when manik called her name
m=jaan kya soch rahiho??
n=kuch nahi.. manik aashi ko mujhe dedo, usse bhook lagi ha, main usse dudh peela deti hu
manik pecked her forehead and handed her to nandini. nandini took her in her embrace and began to feed her milk. now this sight was one of manik's favourite sight. how cutely aashi used to drink her mom's milk and nandini would caress her tiny little fingers , kissed them, kiss her eyes and manik sat beside them and watch his beautiful life.

FLASHBACK ..( Mood swings part-1)
nandini had caught a cold because she ate one full box of chocolate icecream in absence of manik when he was in office. mukti and alya couldnt stop her pleading and also could not resist her sweet talks and allowed her to eat. nyonika also didnt say anything as nandini had assured them she is alright and they didnt want her to be upset. currently nandini was suffering from severe cold and the whole malhotra mansion had to bear manik's yelling, shouts, panic. none of them did mind his any of the words as they knew he was scared but nandini knew he was a bit angry as she had shown irresponsibleness during his absence. she was quietly sitting on the bed with a box full of tissue. manik came inside the room with a glass full of haldi milk made by nyonika. he gave her the drink and she without any complains took the glass and finished it in a second. manik had not talk to her after returning from the office and getting to know about her cold. he gave her the medicines and took the empty glass from her hand. she holded his hand and stopped him from going out

he kept the glass and sat beside her but didnt say a single word. he took a tissue and gently wiped her nose and face and she hopped into his arms. manik could resist everything but not his jaan. no matter how much angry he would be with her he could not push away her from himself and so he hugged her back and rubbed her back
n=manik please, dato na mujhe, please dato..kuch bolo.. mujhse larai karo. jhagro but ese chup mat raho i cant bear ur silence. tumhari chupi mujhse bardasht nahi hoti. i cant stand it when u dont talk to me, when u dont call me jaan. office se aneke bad tumne ek bhi bar mujhe kiss nahi kiya
manik smiled and broke the hug. she had a few tears in her eyes. he wiped those tears and pressed his lips with hers for a kiss which she immediately responded back. she clutched his shirt to deepen the kiss but he broke it after a few seconds.

she cutely bobbed her head and holded her ears

he smiled and pecked her forehead
m=i love u very much, and thats why i got scared, tumne dekha na, gharme bhi maine chillaya sabke upar.. agese esa mat karna okay???

she happily hugged him again and manik hugged her back
m(to himself)=mood swings begings... unlimited icecream.
manik sighed and looked upstairs to her ayippa
m(to himself)=nandini ke ayippa, please give me strength taki main nandini ko pyarse sambhal saku, aj agar usspar bharak uthta toa shayed woh ese acchese nahi samajhti. mom was right, i need to be careful and caring towards her now even more.
later on, that night around 3 pm , manik was in the study working on some files when he heard some noise. first he thought it was his immaginary things but no he again heard some noise.
m=yeh awaz kaisi???
he went to his room to check on nandini who was sleeping peacefully but to his fear she was not in the room. manik got a mini heart attack and began to search her. he went downstairs and saw the deem light of the kitchen was on. he ran inside the kitchen but there wasnt anyone but one bowl was broken in front of the fridge.

he went to the hall and saw the watchman came inside calling his name
watchman=sir.. woh nandini mam
m=nandini?? kya hua usse??
watchman=woh abhi abhi bahar gayi ha... akele, chalke, maine rokhna chaha but mujhe ek jhapar marke chali gayi...
m=shittt !!!
nandini was walking on the empty road wearing her pink night suit and wrapped herself with a stole. her face was full of irritation, cravings, she was looking here and there when suddenly she felt her arm being pulled and turning her around, it was manik who was panting heavily and came outside of the house just in his vest and tracks
n=manik.. chii !! tum ese hi vest pehenke bahar agaye.. lokh kya sochenge??
he glared at her and she too glared at him immitating him
m=jaan tum yaha kya karrahiho? tumne time dekha ha? its 3 pm of night.. aur gharse bahar akeli kyu ayi?? and..

she put her finger on his lips
n=one by one.. main sab bhul jaungi.. main yahapar chal rahithi... yeh road ha and main chal rahithi. yes maine time dekha hain, aur... gharse bahar main isiliye ayi kyuki..

n=manik mujhe na kulfi khani hain
she said in the most sugary, sweet and pleading way which almost hit manik on his head
m=what??? are u serious?? raat ke 3 baje kulfi??
she glared at him angrily and he lowered his tone
m=i mean jaan, tum kitchen me woh bowl kaise tuta??? agar tumhe lagjati toa? and mujhe awaz dedeti.. main to study me tha na
n=woh.. tum study me study karrahethe thats why i didnt disturb u aur woh bowl... mohan kaka ki galti hain. manik mom ne mere lie kulfi banay thi, but woh bowl empty tha... kyu???
he smirked at her cuteness
m=jaan, woh kulfi tumnehi khaya tha aur khali bowl fridge ke andaar rakh diya
she bit her tongue and changed the topic
n=ha toa.. mohan kaka ko woh hata dena chahiye tha na??? bad mohan kaka...
m=accha yeh sab choro.. chalo ghar bahar thand ha aur wasebhi tumhe sardi hain
n=nahi mujhe aur baby ko kulfi khani hain.. manik chalo na kulfi khane
m=jaan abhi...
n=pata tha mujhe, nahi leke jaoge tum mujhe, i knew it tum mujhe kulfi khane nahi leke jaoge. thats why maine nahi bola, pregnant toa main hu, cravings toa meri hain, but tumhe kya ha na??
only manik knew how he was controlling himself watching her all those cute tantrums and mood swings, her childishness, stubborness and those pouty looks, he admitted to himself that it was hard to control all these mood swings. but he didnt lose hope . while she was blabbering to herself he cupped her face with his both hands and captured her lips with his. nandini was taken aback because of the sudden kiss that too on an empty road on the middle of the night, but eventually she hugged him back and kissed him back. he kissed her with all his love and care. his lips were not just stopping chewing her lips and nibbling them. after sometime he broke the kiss and she looked into his eyes...
m=tum agar ese adhi raatko mujhe mar bhi dena chaho, i wont stop u.. and esa kabhi mat kehna ke mujhe koi farak nahi parta when u are suffering. i know jaan, no matter i do anything and everything but the pain u are going through, the phase u are passing through (touches her tummy) i wont be able to repay all this ever.
she smiled and hugged him tightly
n=um sorry manik for all these troubles
m=sssh its okay, and rahi baat kulfi ki toa then tum ghar chalo, i promise within some time , i'll bring kulfi for u

finally he brought her home and as per as his promise, he managed to bring kulfi for her surfing at more than twenty international hotels of his known and considering the manik malhotra, he got what he wanted, His jaan's smile while eating the kulfi

manik said while putting aashi back to her cot and nandini put the small blanket over her. she encircled her arms around his neck and he held her by waist..
n=yes that was indeed, it was first time u kissed me on an empty road and that too being so romantic.
he smirked and pulled her more close

n=sure..but abhi nahi.. aashi phirse jag gayi toa???
m=theek ha, let her grow up a bit.. and then, i promise.. next time not on an empty road but in a crowded road, traffic ke samne i'll kiss u
