It was a dark and rainy night in Washington. A woman was standing in front of a house, wearing a long, midnight blue cloak. In her arms was a basket containing a crying, newborn girl. The woman put the basket down on the porch, with a note and necklace next to the baby. The woman knocked on the door and ran away, abandoning the baby. As the woman rounded the corner, she gave the baby girl one last look, and disappeared into the night. Never to be seen again.

Nick Fury's POV

Knock.... knock...knock. I looked up from my files. Now who the heck would be knocking on my door at 1:00 in the morning? I walked toward the door, grabbing my gun. As I neared the door I heard crying? I opened the door, gun in my hands ready to shoot. I don't see anyone but the cying is louder than before is is coming from below me.

I looked down and my heart stopped. Right in front of my eyes is a newborn baby in a basket, crying. I lower my gun in put it in my holster and look around. Trying to see if the person who left the baby hasn't gotten out of view yet. No one is around.

I pick up the basket and walk inside. I set the basket on the table. Poor little baby, abandoned as if the baby was a monster. I pick up the crying baby and try to sooth it. The baby calms down. I check the diaper to see what gender the baby is. A girl.

The baby girl calms down and starts to play with her fingers. I look inside thee basket and see a note and a necklace. I pick up the note and try to read it but the problem was that it was in another language. A language that I don't think is a language know to this world. I set the note down in the basket and pick up the necklace. There is a charm on the necklace that looks like half of an infinity sign or a fish... lets go with half of an infinity sign. The charm also has words that say: KASSADY SOUL &.  Apperantly the & is split into half.

I guess someone has another half of the charm cause the other part might have something that finishes the phrase. Oh well.

I look at the girl, into her eyes and gasp. The girl's eyes are rainbow colors. Right then, I knew she was special.

I think of a name for the girl. I always liked Kasey. Yeah Kasey. I head toward my bed room and set Kasy on my bed. Kasey quickly falls asleep. I surround her with pillow so she won't fall off the bed. I leave the room and pick up the basket and put it into the attic. The only thing I take from the basket is the necklace. I'll give it to Kasey when she is older.

A/N: I just had to give Fury a soft side, you know. BTW, I don't really know where Fury lives, just took a guess. If you are confused, Thor has the other piece of the charm. Later into the story you will find out why. Excuse the grammar. All credit goes to Marvel and Stan Lee.
