Lauren and I drove about an hour out into a secluded warehouse it had began to rain a little and as we pulled in I scanned the area for my back up they were all hiding in place waiting for my signal. I forgot to mention that my family has ties to the mob my dad got one of the mob bosses out of a shady deal resulting in saving his life and landing the attempted murderer in jail for life, in turn a lawyer friend of my dad had the mob bosses rap sheet wiped clean of all wrong doing and in return he swore he would protect us no matter what at any cost. I never thought that I would need their help but I had to protect Lauren I had to make sure that this asshole wouldn't hurt her nor get away with $20,000 hopefully  the plan would go off without a hitch.. But I could only hope.

I flashed my lights signaling the signal that I had arrived in the distance I could see the flicker of a light which gave Lauren and I the ok to exit the vehicle. "Are you ready for this?" I asked Lauren she looked at me with worried eyes "I'm ready" she replied

'ok let's go" I  said as I readied myself to exit the car"

'wait! what if this doesn't go over well what if he hurts you?"

to quiet Lauren I leaned forward and kissed her softly her worried face softened and she smiled

"It's gonna be ok I promise and no one's going to hurt you here take this" I said handing her a 9mm she slipped it into her pants "Only use it if you need it if you feel that you have to defend yourself.. don't hesitate to use it" I said Lauren and I exited the car and walked towards  the building. I entered first with Lauren close behind me "Hold onto me and don't let me go" I said Lauren held onto my shirt as we walked through the dimly lit hallways. We entered a room where we were met with the asshole "Well so glad to finally meet your acquaintance once again"  jake expressed with a clown smile "Yeah too bad I can't say the same for you" I  mumbled

"yeah so let's cut the small talk you got my money?" he asked I threw the bag at him "It's twenty G's count it if you don't believe me but in return I want you and your guys to leave Lauren and I alone and I want you to disappear "  I demanded Jake gave me a snark look as he opened the bag and began counting the money   "wow what a generous kid you are.but sadly I'm afraid I can't let you both leave " he said as he zipped the bag up I felt Lauren reach for the   gun she had hidden under her shirt   as we started backing up towards the entrance of the door Jake reached for something silver. A gunshot rang out and within an instant he fell over dead blood pooling from his nose and mouth I turned to see Lauren holding the gun "Lauren" I said softly she ran over to  Jake and began pistol whipping him repeatedly

"Fuck you! fuck you! you fucking son of a bitch! you ruined my life!" she screamed as she hit him over and over servery bruising his face Lauren! stop! stop! he's dead!stop!" I screamed as I ran over to her  I took the gun from her hands and emptied the magazine  I held Lauren in my arms as she began to cry hysterically I comforted her as best I could.

"We can take care of things from here you two get going" a tall Italian guy standing in the doorway with a thick New York accent I glanced up at the guy and nodded my head as I picked Lauren up  "don't worry no one will miss him" he responded as we walked out. Lauren and I walked to the car we didn't look back once I helped her into my car and we drove off The drive back home was quiet Lauren was clearly in complete shock of what she had just done. She had just killed a man and his blood soaked her clothes. Once we entered the house I helped Lauren up the stairs to her bedroom and began running her a hot bath I watched as she stood in the center of the room staring aimlessly in a sort of daze

"hey it's ok you did what you had to do" I told her in a calm voice

"I-I killed him Y/n, I killed him" she said as she began to break down in tears I held her up as her body began to get weak "Lauren,you did what you had to do you have nothing to feel guilty about it was wither him or us and I couldn't loose you if the show was on the other foot, I 'd of done the same thing"  I said 

"Come on let's get you out of these clothes I've got a bath drawn for you"

Lauren slowly began removing her clothes as I went to the linen closet to grab a towel and washrag. I helped her into the tub and sat with her as she vigorously scrubbed her entire body clean. after her bath we lay together in bed Lauren held me closer and tighter than she ever had and every now and then she would tremble I knew that the events that unfolded tonight were traumatizing for her and she wasn't quite sure how to process her emotions. I gently ran my fingers through her dark hair as she slowly drifted off to sleep I thought quietly to myself as I lay with her wrapped closely in my arms she was finally free from the asshole who kept her as his slave, Free from the one who would assault her and beat her on a daily basis before she found me or rather I found her we now shared something together that was unbreakable.. a bond, a love  for one another. as of now ,Lauren was all that I had literally I had completely disowned both of my parents my mother had become a self centered egotistical bitch and my father had absolutely no back bone to stop her from being such a way. So there I was in my Condo laying with a girl that I was beginning to fall in love with.. deeply in love with, I had no family ,no parents.. I was now completely on my own. But I knew that as long as I had Lauren by my side that that was all that I needed... SHE was all that I needed.
