I woke up to Yelling and someone shaking me. " Mari wake up please, " Domo said. " What Domo, " I said opening my eyes. " They're arguing again, " Domo said. " What's it about this time kiddo, " I said rolling my eyes. " You. Mari show me your arms " Domo said. " Domo please don't start it's too early, " I said looking away. " Mari why do you hurt yourself, " Domo said rubbing my arms. " Because this is the only way I'm in control of my pain, " I said looking away. " Mari can you stop them from arguing, " Domo asked. " Come on, " I said. We walked downstairs and they instantly stopped yelling. " I'm sorry kids did I wake you, " Dad said. Domo started talking I just went into the kitchen and mad me and him some Toaster Strudels.
" Hey, baby girl I was wondering if we can talk about what you told me and your dad last night, " Mom said. " It's nothing to talk about, " I said putting the frosting on our food. " I think there is look-- " GCO. " Look It's nothing to talk about and I'm done with it. Not like you guys care anyways honestly " I said putting our plates on the table. " Domo come and eat, " I said. Domo ran in and ate. " What's with calling him your Uncle's nickname. His names Stephen " Dad said. " I like it when Mari calls me Domo. She says I remind her of Uncle Dominique " Domo said. " Wait why do you let him call you Mari. Your name is Paris " Mom said.
" He likes Mari better and so do I, " I said eating. " Well, Domo and Mari, " Dad said. " No Dad you'll make Mari mad. Only we can use those names " Domo said. " You know me so well my fuzzy haired Domo, " I said rubbing his hair. We laughed. " Umm do you guys wanna go out to eat, " Dad said. " No, " I said. " No, " Domo said. " Why guys I'm trying to spend time with you after being gone for 6 Months, " Dad said kinda sad. " I wanna spend time with Mari, " Domo said. " You spend every day with her, " Mom said. " Well then one more day won't kill me, " Domo said and going upstairs. " Why don't Y'all want to be around us, " Mom said. " Maybe because when Y'all are together its a full out war, " I said about to go upstairs. " Then why does it seem like you only have a problem with me, " Dad said grabbing my arm.
I winced in pain. I then went upstairs to look for Domo. I couldn't find him. I knew it was only one other place he could be. It's this little place right on the side of my room where I go when I don't want no one to find me. I showed Domo because I always want to make sure he's safe. Nobody knows about it and I decorated it myself. I crawled inside and saw him watching t.v. " You okay little man, " I said sitting next to him. " Yeah, I'm just tired of hearing them arguing sis. It's annoying " Domo said. " I know but that's what they do, " I said laughing. We heard them arguing again. Domo got really sad. " Look how about we go somewhere, " I said. " Do we have to get dressed? " Domo said. " No just put on your shoes and let's go, " I said.
Domo ran and put on his shoes and we went downstairs. " Where do you think Y'all are going, " Mom said. " I'm taking Domo out for a bit we will be back, " I said grabbing our umbrellas cause it's raining. " Ummm no you're not young lady. You're on punishment and I don't trust you with Stephen by yourself right now " Dad said. " Don't you think he's safer with me than here where it's constant arguing and nagging? " I said rolling my eyes. My dad came up and slapped me. I ran out of the house crying. I heard my name being called behind me. I stopped and Saw Domo running. I grabbed him. " I need you to stay home, " I said. " No, I want to stay with you. Please don't leave me " Domo said crying.
" Look I'm leaving and I don't know if I'm coming back Stephen but I have to make sure you're safe. I don't know where I'm going to go but just now I love you okay more than anything " I said hugging him crying hard. " Promise you'll come back for me, " Domo said crying. " Domo please, " I said. " Mari promise that you'll come back for me, " Domo said. " I promise. Remember the spot in my room look under the couch pillows. It's a Phone under there. Hook it up to the wifi and use it. You know my number by heart. Any time you want to talk call me " I said hugging him. I heard my dad's voice screaming after him and me. I ran. " Don't forget your promise " Domo yelled. " I won't " I yelled back.
