Alright, so its been a while since I last updated right? I think this is the longest gap between updates.. I swear it will not take me months to update-a month at most since I'm writing two stories at once.

Writing these along with college, work, and other things is difficult :\

Feel free to leave feedback, questions, etc.

Happy Reading!

7| confessing

Lucia was frozen, completely stunned about Severus' question, more like statement. He caught her off guard as she was not expecting him to learn that little piece of information of her yet. It certainly wasn't a secret, but it wasn't something she advertised either. In fact, not even all of her fellow professors were aware of her status. It was obvious then that someone had told Severus and he must have just found out shortly before storming to her office. She also didn't understand why he seemed to be so upset about it; perhaps upset was a little strong, he was more aggravated. Was it because she happened to leave out that fact or the fact itself? But who told him?

"H..how did you find out about that?" Lucia cringed slightly at her stutter. She wasn't made nervous easily, but his body language screamed at her to tread carefully.

"Is it not odd that I would be told something of that importance from someone other than the source themselves?"

Lucia cleared her throat, "Yes it is, but that doesn't necessarily mean 'the source' had intention to keep that a secret forever." She didn't know where this conversation was headed, but she would try to keep the peace as best as she could.

"That I would not know, would I?"

"I suppose," Lucia said hesitantly.

Severus cut Lucia off before she could say more. "Did you not think it was pertinent to mention you are a married woman? Most women would flaunt it."

Now it was Lucia's turn to be irritated. It wasn't even his business to know and she didn't appreciate the subtle negative comparison. "Well in case you haven't noticed, I'm not most women."

"No, it would seem you are not."

Now what is that suppose to mean? Lucia just stared at Severus, baffled by his comment. She couldn't believe he was serious about this, as though she had done something absolutely out of line. He wasn't entitled to know everything about her life anymore than she is to his. It shouldn't even matter to him that she had some legal obligation to some other person. An obligation that would hopefully be over soon.

"Pardon me, but I don't believe this is something that needs to be treated as a big issue." She crossed her arms, refusing to back down from Severus and his glare. "Why does it bother you so much?"

Severus' scowl deepened. "It does not bother me. The fact that you lied, however, does."

"How did I lie exactly? I don't believe I've ever said anything about being married or not."

Severus didn't respond. The only reaction he gave was a huff and the deepening of his scowl. Lucia's stern expression slowly started to turn into a glare that could marvel his own. Severus realized that he was perhaps pushing her and close to crossing a line. But he couldn't control the anger he felt from Lucia keeping something of this nature from him, nor did he understand its sudden appearance. Of course Lucia, on the other hand, only believed Severus was overreacting. That his anger came from his lack of knowledge of her life while she knew so much of him. She wouldn't allow him to act this way towards her however, no matter how entitled he feels to his attitude. There is only so far her patience can go.
