One morning Lucia was sitting on her couch in her chambers reading. She was having trouble concentrating, thinking about the other evening. She had stayed at Severus' chambers much later than she originally planned, not arriving back until after midnight. After explaining the story of her marriage, she had-after a lot of coaxing-managed to persuade Severus to explain more about himself. Their conversation took an interesting turn when he explained how he came to be Albus' spy.

"I went to the only person I knew that could help them. I went to Albus."

Lucia was listening intently to what he was saying and tried not to interrupt, but she felt as though he needed the encouragement. "You asked him to keep the Potters safe?"

Severus sighed, "yes, and no. I more specifically wanted Lily safe-James and Harry consequently."

Lucia pursed her lips, "so am I correct in saying you cared only for her survival?"

Severus bowed his head, "yes, at first." He looked up at Lucia, but didn't make eye contact. "Albus made it very clear to me how wrong that was."

"Alright," she wasn't sure how to respond to that but decided to move on, "Then what? He promised to protect them, but in return.."

"In return I told him I would give him anything, do anything."

"Meaning, you became a spy for him."

Severus looked directly into Lucia's eyes, "yes."

It wasn't a surprise to Lucia that Albus would make such a request as a form of payment. Severus was in debt to Albus the second he stepped into his office.

Sighing, Lucia closed her book no longer finding interest in it. She tossed it onto the coffee table and unfolded her legs from underneath herself. Looking down, she realized it was probably time for her to make herself presentable for the day. It wasn't proper for her to answer her door in just a nightgown and robe-especially if the robe wasn't all that concealing. She stood up and started to go to her bathroom when she heard a knock at her door. Walking over to the door, Lucia hastily pulled her robe closed and answered the door.

She relaxed slightly when she saw it was only Minerva and simply crossed her arms. "Oh Minerva, what can I help you with?"

Minerva cleared her throat, "I apologize for disturbing you," she was cut off when Lucia waved her hand, dismissing her apology. "I just wanted to inform you that Harry will be visiting today. I think he would like to speak with you regarding..you know what."

A look of surprise covered Lucia's face, "oh that's right, you told him. Are you sure?"

"Yes, I believe he would be interested in knowing about how you saved Severus." Minerva paused to study Lucia's reaction, "if you are uncomfortable with that, I am sure it won't be an issue."
