"There you go." Sebastian, your husband, says, setting a plate of Chinese food down in front of you.

You look at the delicious food and then peer up at Sebastian who's grinning at you. "You made Chinese food?" You question incredulously.

"Carry out." He responds, kissing your head before moving around the table to sit across from you.

You nod your head in understanding. "That makes sense." You murmur, grinning.

Sebastian jokingly glares at you and then laughs. "No, but I read online that eating Chinese food will help induce labor." He states.

Your eyebrows shoot up. "You've been reading up on how to induce my labor?" You ask.

He blushes and shrugs. "Y/N, our boy's due date was a couple of days ago. I can't wait any longer." He says, squirming in his seat.

You roll your eyes and shake your head. "He'll be here soon enough, Sebastian, trust me." You reply.

He nods to your plate of food. "Now he will." He informs, grinning. You laugh and grab your fork.

---

That night you sit up in bed, gasping. Pain wracks your abdomen, and your hands clutch your very swollen belly.

"Sebastian!" You cry, shaking your husband's shoulder.

He shoots up out of bed. "What! What is it?!" He exclaims.

"The baby." You gasp, your eyes wide with fear. He flicks on the light beside your bed and you can see his face is white.

"Wh-what should I do?" He asks as you bend over in pain, groaning. "Y/N?!" He exclaims with hysteria, slowly backing away from you.

You look up at him in distress. "Sebastian, what are you doing? This is when I need you most; I don't need you to cower in fear. Please." You grit out.

His eyes widen. "Right, right, I'm sorry. I'm just-I'm just so nervous." He stammers.

You take a deep breath. "Sebastian, we've already packed my suitcase for the hospital. It's downstairs. We're all ready to go. Just help me to the car and grab the suitcase, then we can go to hospital." You direct, the pain leaving you for a moment. Sebastian nods and just stands there.

"Uh, Sebastian?" You question, your eyebrows drawn. There's nothing. His eyes are just wide and he looks frozen in time. "Sebastian?" You repeat worriedly. "Sebastian!" You exclaim.

He finally snaps and shakes his head. "Huh? What?" He asks with confusion.

"Are you sure you're ready for our son to come?" You ask, smiling as you push yourself up off the bed. You gasp.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, honey, I can help you." Sebastian says, rushing over to you.

You scoff. "It's okay, Sebastian, you just go get the suitcase." You reply as you waddle out of the room, grinning.

---

"Y-you know, I really regret eating that Chinese food." You gasp, smiling tiredly, after a contraction ends.

Sebastian laughs. "Sorry not sorry." He replies. He rubs your back. "You're doing beautiful though, Y/N." He whispers comfortingly.

"I'll attest to that. From the way things are you looking, baby Stan should be here in about an hour." The midwife says. Sebastian grins excitedly and kisses your lips, almost letting out a little shriek of excitement.

You laugh softly and sigh. "We won't be a family of two for much longer." You murmur.

"You've got another contraction coming, Y/N." The midwife proclaims. You grip Sebastian's hand and look at him for encouragement. He smiles so lovingly at you, you start crying.

"I love you, Sebastian." You whisper.

"I love you too." He whispers back, kissing your forehead.

---

Sebastian starts hysterically sobbing as soon as the midwife shows you your new red, squalling son.

"He's so beautiful!" Sebastian weeps. You brush away your tears and sniff as the midwife sets your son in your arms.

"Oh..." You breathe in wonder, taking in his perfect little features. "He's magnificent." You whisper.

Sebastian sits down next to you, sniffling. "How is this even possible?" He murmurs, caressing his son's soft wisps of hair. You place your son in your husband's arms. Big, fat tears roll down your cheeks as Sebastian smiles at his son and makes cooing noises to him.

You rest your head against his arm as you both stare down at your child in wonder and in endless love.
[THE END] I hope you liked it!
