The man had a dog with him. I recognized the dog. It was Ranger, Jack's dog.
"Do I know you?" Jack said. "Wait. Something about you is familiar." He stood there thinking for a second. His eyes suddenly grew wide. "C...Chloe?"
I smiled. "Yes Jack. It's me." I jumped into his arms. My life was finally whole again. I was with Jack finally after all the years.
"Chloe I can't believe it's you." He said hugging me back. "I missed you so much."
"Me too Jack. Me too." I exclaimed hugging him more. I pulled back. "Jack I love you so much."
"Me too Chloe. Me too." Jack basically repeated.
And for years we lived together and eventually Jack proposed and we had a boy and a girl. The boy named Kyle after our lost friend. And the girl named Syd after Syd who had passed away in a car crash. Jack and I lived happily until the end of our days.
I guess you could say I finally got my happily ever after.
