Fear

Lumuhod ako sa harap ng anak ko at ngumiti.
"Mommy will talk a visitor for a while huh? Kay ate Lerah ka muna then i'll cook a dinner for us.Anong gusto mong dinner?"

Sinulyapan nito ang kanyang ama saka binalingan ako ng tingin."Can we have a burger and potato fries tonight?"

Kunwari ay nag iisip ako.I don't like him eating those kind of food cause it's not that healthy for him.Siguro ay pagbigyan ko sya kahit ngayon lang.

"Okay.Tell ate Lerah to take out those things in the freezer?"

Sunod sunod itong tumango at nagmamadaling umalis.I guess he's too excited to eat that burger he asked before.

Umupo ako sa sofa at tiningnan ko ang lalaking nakatayo pa rin sa kung saan sya nakatayo kanina.Para syang natuklaw ng ahas.Is it shocking to him that i have a son?

"You want to leave or you want to sit down?"

Kinabahan ako sa kanyang ekspresyon.He's mad.Base on his blank-cold-poker face expression.Okay...i will face it,once and for all.Total nandito na rin ay haharapin ko na para hindi ko na alalahanin ang mangyayari bukas o sa susunod na araw.

Dahan dahan itong humakbang at umupo sa katapat kong sofa.

"What do you want to talk about?"
I have a hints but i'm still hoping that i am wrong.

Tikom ang bibig nito at masama ang tingin sa akin.Napaikot ko ang mga mata ko pataas.How dare him to be mad at me?

"Why...why...you didn't tell me?"

"Tell you what? That i have a son? What is it to you?"
I am pretending that i am cool right in front of him.I can't let him know that he can easily shake the wall I built for a long time.

Tumiim ang bagang nito sa sinabi ko.Did i provoke him?

"Why you didn't tell me that we have a son!"

Shit! Sabi na nga ba.Hindi lang may lahing demonyo to kundi may lahing aso din.Ang lakas ng pang amoy!

"Huh? Do you have a son? With who?"

Mabilis pa sa alas kwatro itong tumayo at lumapit sa akin.Itinukod nito ang kanyang dalawang kamay sa magkabilang gilid ng sofa at yumuko.

"Do not test my patience,woman.You know what i'm talking about.I have a son...with you.That boy is mine as his father."

His statement makes me dizzy and i don't know why.Yung puso ko ay naghaharumentado dahil dun.

"How can you say that my son is yours? It's not that something happened in the past makes you the father of him.You know...i can or maybe i did sleep with someone else in the past."

He smirked.And i know why.He's too sure that i lied or making excuses.Sya yung tipong tao na hindi mo maloloko.Inilapit nya ang kanyang bibig sa tenga ko."Try harder baby.You can lie all you want and you can't escape that.I'll give you a punishment if you keep lying."

Sinimangutan ko sya at sinamaan ng tingin.May punishment pa syang nalalaman!

"Eh kasi nga...hindi..."

"My father did a background check on you.That's why i found out that we have a child.You don't have a plan of telling me?"

Napaawang ang bibig ko sa kanyang sinabi.
"Why? Why your father did that?"

Nagkibit balikat itong humalukipkip sa harap ko."Cause you're lying to him everytime he asked if you know me when i give him an answer opposite to yours everytime he asked.He got curious so he did that."

"Wee? It's not because i am curious about someone i'll investigate him or her without any reason? What's the reason?"

Pinanlakihan ko sya ng mga mata.Is he up to something!

He chuckled and shake his head."You're still the same.You keep asking everything."

Napanguso ako.Syempre magtatanong ako kasi curious ako.Magtatanong ako dahil gusto kong malaman ang sagot sa mga tanong na yun.

"Reason? What is it?"

"Reason...i'll keep my child's mother and my son with me.That's why i'm here.For now,i want you to introduce me to him."

Ganun? Ganun lang?

"You're not mad? That i didn't tell you about him?"

"Will it change a fact if i stay mad at you? It will not change eveything,right? Though...you'll get a punishment because you didn't tell me when we were in the hospital."

Inirapan ko ito.

"Ma! You took so long to talk with him? Can't you cook now!?"

Napaawang ang bibig ko sa sinabi ng anak ko.
Viktor stared at him like he's amaze at Tyrone.

"Oo na! Bossy ka anak huh? Like father,like son? Tss..."

Pumasok ako sa kwarto namin at nagbihis.Mabilis din ako bumalik sa sala pero wala na dun ang dalawa.Kitchen perhaps?

Nakatupi na ang manggas ng damit nito at hinahanda ang mga kailangan para sa burger.Tyrone's already sitting down to his favorite chair.

"You like tomato on you burger?"
He asked.

Umiling naman si Tyrone."No.It's yucky.But i like pickles on it."

"Hmm...okay.Got it."

Umupo ako sa katabing upuan ni Tyrone.Hindi ko pinansin ang tinging binigay ni Viktor at tiningnan ko lang si Tyrone."He'll cook for us.Is that okay with you?"

Tyrone shrugged his shoulders like a man."I'm fine with it."

"Dalawang taon ka pa lang pero kung makaasta ka parang katorse.Saan mo natutunan yan?"

"Ninang Zoey said i should act like a big guy so that i can protect you to those jerks who wants to hurt you! Someone want to hurt you mama?"

I got teary eyed hearing him saying that. Swerte ko at may anak akong ganito. See? All the hardship and pain is all worth it.

Umiling ako."Lagi mo bang kausap ang Ninang mo? Kung ano anong tinuturo sayo eh."

"Lagi ko syang kausap.Everyday."

"Nabo-bored ka ba? Gusto mong mag aral sa school?"

"Hmm...i don't mind.Learning is fun."

"Okay.We'll talk about that some other time?"

"But Mama...who is he?"

Natigilan ako at tiningnan ulit si Viktor na natigilan din.Tiningnan nya ako na naghihintay din ng sagot.I pressed my lips together and smile at my son.

"He's your father."

Natahimik si Tyrone at tinitigan ang ama nya.Actually,they're both staring each other.I did dropped a bomb and waiting for my son's reaction.

"Why he just come now? Where have you been all this time?"

Napaawang ang bibig ko.Hindi ako nakapagsalita agad dahil hindi ko naisip na sa ganyang edad ay makapagsalita sya ng ganun o makapag isip.Sabi nga ni Zoey genious ang anak ko kumpara sa mga kaedad nya.

Tyrone is quite but observant.He will analyze the things he sees and asks questions he's curious about.

"Tyrone...Mama will answer that.I'll explain everything so listen carefully,will you? And please,wag kang magalit o magtampo sa kanya.Walang may kasalanan.Okay?"

Dahan dahang tumango si Tyrone.I think this part is one of the hardest times parents can encounter. Explaining to your child what was happening in his surrounding is never been an easy task.
