#3: First Day Accident
MAI'S POV
Gene and Naru have been acting weird lately, they won't make me work or anything. If I had to work, one of them would always be by my side, mostly Naru. But they still wouldn't leave me. I didn't know why. Another thing is my increasing head ache. What has gotten into me? Stress? Fatigue? What??
"Mai?! Are you okay?" Naru held my shoulder while I clutched my head for another one of the attacks I've been having with my head. We've already gone to the doctor and they said nothing was wrong with me. but what the heck is this excruciatingly painful head ache. Is this related somewhere? Anywhere?!?!
I shook my head and leaned my head against the glass pane of the van. It hurts damn it. It hurts.
You're thinking why I'm already talking to Naru right? Well let's say that he had ACTUALLY apologized to me for once and he did it in front of the whole crew. They were like woah and wow but Naru as usual didn't let it affect him. Not once.
"You want me to take you to the hospital?" Naru said and again I shook my head. Why was he so worried for me? It's not like I'm gonna die or anything. Suddenly the wheels of the van popped and the whole van skidded across the road pavement. Fortunately, the car didn't overturn and nobody got hurt.
"What the heck was that?!?!" Gene said and we all went out. The other car composing of Bou-san, Masako, John, Yasuhara, Madoka, Ayako, and Yuki went in front of us. We looked at our surroundings and saw that we were still miles away from the carnival. We were in the middle of nowhere. Literally.
Naru and the others got there cellphones out and called multiple vulcanizing shops. I tried mine as well but . . Something unusual happened.
"GET OUT OF THERE!!!" an ominous voice said to me over the phone. I felt a shiver ran down my spine and the voice continued.
"YOU'RE NOT SAFE HERE! PLEASE!! I DON'T WANT THEM TO CATCH YOU!!!" suddenly mu head ache turned for the worse. My nose bled and I felt my body go weak. My vision began to blur and I don't what to do anymore.
"PLEASE GET AWAY FROM THERE! AND COME WITH US!" suddenly I was shook awake by someone and I saw Naru holding my cellphone and crushed it using psychic energy. I felt myself slipping away from consciousness. Naru was here for me. . Yet again. . He's here
Dreamscape
"Help me!!!" I said and pounded the door that was locked. I looked around and saw a boy holding a knife and he appeared to be bloody from head to toe. He smelt like rotting flesh and try as I might to open the door I couldn't. He grasped my arm and with a smirk on his face said the words that creeped me out.
"YOU'RE MINE" he said and he slashed me on the throat. I screamed bloody hell as I knelt to the ground clasping my bleeding throat.
"H-Help me. ." I said to no one in particular but the young bleeding boy just laughed and ran his hand through my hair.
"Oh I'm sorry. . Wrong girl. ." he said and laughed maniacally. I started to lose a lot of blood and I didn't know what I'd do.
What'd he meant by WRONG GIRL??
I suddenly awoke with a roof facing me. I was inside the car with a black coat covering my body. I stood up and another head ache attacked me this time worse tenfold. I stood up and went outside only to see them camping out. I would bet that it's about 4 pm. I looked around and saw that we were still in the middle of nowhere.
'MAI . .' a voice said in my head and I looked around but nobody was calling me.
'MAI OVER HERE. .' the voice said again and I looked towards the forest. I didn't know what came over me but I started walking towards the forest. My mind told me to not go but my body wanted to go. What's wrong with me?!?! My head ache continued to throb in my head and I tried to shake of the goosebumps enveloping my body.
'THAT'S IT MAI. . YOU'RE MINE!' suddenly a cold hand clasped my mouth and I felt liquid ran down my neck. I looked down to see dozens of white elongated ghostly hands cover my body. NARU! HELP ME!!!!
'Naru! Gene! HELP!!!!!' I mind-screamed at them but my body was starting to disappear along with the ghosts.
'Naru!!! HELP ME!!!!' I mentally shouted at them and the last thing I saw was Naru shouting my name while appearing behind a bush.
'MAI!!!!' Naru mentally shouted at me. I outstretched my hand but that was it. Everything around me was gone. Disappeared.
And then I suddenly saw myself in a house full of mirrors.
"WELCOME TO MY WORLD. . PRINCESS. ." an ominous voice said and I looked around to see the boy I saw in my dream. But he looked a bit civilized. He wasn't the same bloody boy I saw, but instead he appeared almost human. Except for the part where he was floating in mid air.
"Who are you?" I tried sounding tough. Literally TRIED.
"Don't be scare of me Mai. . I'm not gonna hurt you. ."
"Seriously?!?!? How are you not going to hurt me if you kidnapped me!?!?" I said and I actually felt a tiny bit stupid. I was talking to a ghost about morals. Wow I'm crazy.
"I'm not the bloody visitor you saw in your dream. That was my dad. . In his 13 year old self. ." he said with a forlorn expression on his face.
"How can I trust someone like you?" I said and he sighed.
"Because I'm the one who will get you out of here." he said and I confusingly looked at him. First he kidnaps then he wants to free me? Is this ghost a cookoo brain? Because it ain't funny.
"I'm not the one who kidnapped you. ." he said and I looked at him with more confusion etched on my face.
"Then who?"
"It's your friend. ."
FRIEND????????
