Chapter-6 "Competition Day.." PART - I

Finally the day has come.All the students of HOLY ROCK were eagerly waiting for the day of competition.They all are gathering in the gallery.They are hooting,shouting and what not.The competitors are in the green room. They are doing their last minute practicing as the competition is going to be start in 5 minutes.As we all know our Nandini is late.Navya is with Mukti in green room.Cabir , Dhruv and Abhi are in gallery.Manik is obviously busy to check all the arrengements for the last time.He dont need to practice as he is already champion.

There are 5 events in the competition -

1) Jumping event (long jump, high jump)
2)Running event
3) Throwing event (Jabbling,Shot put,Discus)
4) Gymnastics
5) Yoga.

The students are devided into two sections -

1) Jounior section ( class V - VIII )
2) Senior section ( class IX -XII )

Announcer- With respects to the teachers and the judges we will start todays competition. So are you students ready to see the most hard core competition ???
( The students shout saying yeeesssss )
This is the spirit.Ok so I would love to call all the competitors into the ground to sing our National Song and start the competition.

At the meantime in greenroom

Mukti and Navya are being restless as Nandini has not come.

Mukti- Yarr when will she come?? We have to reach to the ground.

Navya- She is so much of careless yarr !!! Any way I think she will come at the last second as always..Ok I go to the gallery.All the best.

Mukti- Thanks.bye.

Navya walked to gallery.
At that time Manik enters in the greenroom and says-

Manik's sports wear

Manik- Guys be ready we have to go now.

All in unison- Yes we are ready.

Manik- Best of luck.Come.

He is about to leave then Mukti calls him.

Mukti- Manik see na Nandini has not come yet.Can you please give me your phone that I can ask her mom about her whereabouts ??

Manik - Yah sure.here it is. (gives her the phone) . Ok you call her and meet us at the groung ok.bye.

Mukti- Ok.thanks.

Manik leaves with the competitors.
Mukti calls her mother and she says that Nandini has left house ago.In that moment Nandini hurriedly enters. And Mukti runs with her without wasting time after giving her ' I wont spare you' look.

Nandini's sports wear

At the ground-

All stand there in 4 rows.Mukti and Nandini come runningly and stand behind a row.They start to sing the National Song.After that announcer says-

"Who are going to participate in long jump and high jump take your positions and the rest of you can go to your green room."

So the first event is started.Audience are cheering the competitors.

Meanwhile in the Greenroom-

Mukti is shouting on Nandini.Poor Nandini is listening helplessly as it is her fault being late all the time.At that moment Manik interrupts them saying hii.

Mukti - Oh hii Manik.here is your phone.(giving his phone)

Manik- Thnks.Any problem??

Nandini- No, no problem.I have come late na to she is just.....(incomplete the sentence)

Manik- Ohk..

Then they hear the announcement that who are in running event have to take their position.

Manik- Ok bye its my turn.

Nandini- bye good luck.

Mukti- Bye.best of luck.

Manik- Thank you both.(goes with his competitors).
