The next day, Killian spent all day in his music room. Emma didn't want to feel like a burden, so she stayed out of the way. Killian had been running around like a headless chicken. He had mentioned that he had a lot of work to do, so Emma remained quiet, as if she wasn't even there. She looked in the newspaper for job listings and drove around town looking for something to do. She didn't want to spend all her time at Killian's house and not pay him for her stay. She didn't want to put any more weight on his shoulders. He obviously had a busy life, and she didn't want to interrupt his routine.

Emma heard the basement door slam shut, and it caused her to jump. She debated in her head if she should go and check on him or not. A moment later, the refrigerator door slammed too, making all the contents inside clink together. 'Maybe leaving him alone would be best for now.' She tried to slip upstairs, but his voice stopped her from climbing the stairs.

"How are you today, Swan?" He asked from behind her.

'Shit.' "I should be asking you the same."

He sighed and scratched behind his ear. "I can't find the right lyrics to the melody. It's not a big deal."

"Killian, it will come to you." She put her hand on his arm and gave him a warm smile. "I believe in you."

"Thanks, love." He returned a smile. "How about we go out for lunch?"

"Sure. Let me grab my credit card."

"No, no. I'll pay."

Emma rolled her eyes and came back down the steps. "I don't mind paying for lunch. It's the least I could do considering you are letting me stay here."

"Swan, I'm letting you stay here because I don't want you out of my sight. I'm not going to let you slip away from me again. I love you too much."

Emma didn't know what to say. She sat down on the steps and ran her hand down her face. "So, you want me here?"

"Of course I do!" Killian sat next to her and brushed a strand of hair back and tucked it behind her ear. "I missed you."

She threw her arms around him. "I missed you too."

He kissed the top of her head. "Cmon, I know an amazing restaurant that makes the best grilled cheeses and hamburgers." Killian stood up and held his hand out for Emma. She took it and stood up as well. She followed him to his car and they drove down the road. Emma watched as the scenery passed by.

Once they pulled into the parking lot, Emma looked up to see Jamie's Sandwich Shop. She laughed to herself as she looked at the sign. The logo was an animated character eating a hoagie. Killian quickly got out of the car and ran to Emma's side. He opened the door for her and she smiled.

"Thank you," she said.

"Not a problem, love." He offered his arm out for her and she quickly threaded hers with his. He opened the door for her and found a table near a window. "I come here all the time. It's the best place to get sandwiches."

Just then, a woman wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans walked over to them. She held a pen and notepad in her hands. The sound of her smacking her gum could be heard. She glanced at Emma and Killian with a bored look on her face. "What can I get you today?" She sighed.

Emma order a grilled cheese and water, while Killian got a cheeseburger and fries with Coke. The woman walked away and Emma couldn't hold back a laugh. "What's up with her?"

"Nancy is always like that. Not sure why," Killian explained.

They talked as they waited for their food. Killian's foot would brush hers under the table every so often, but Emma pretended like she didn't notice though. After they ate, Killian paid and they drove back to his house. As he was driving, he placed his hand on her knee and Emma froze. She glanced over at him, but his eyes were focused on the road. Maybe he did that without thinking? She slowly started to relax again, enjoying the warmth of his hand. It was as if him even touching her in the most innocent ways, assured her that he was really there.

As soon as they got back to his house, Emma went upstairs to her purse. She had managed to swipe a look at the receipt from the restaurant to find that her meal was only ten dollars. She grabbed her wallet and plucked a ten dollar bill from it, then went back downstairs. Killian was sitting at the kitchen counter on his laptop, scrolling through a website. Emma came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him, reading the page. She slipped the bill into his breast pocket, but found herself unable to pull away. His scent flooded her nose, and she loved it. It was a little stronger from all those years ago.

"What are you up to, my love?" He asked and turned around in the chair. While her arms were still wrapped around him, his found their way to her waist.

"Just thinking," she replied. Her breath hitched in her throat as she looked into his stunningly beautiful blue eyes.

As they looked at each other, Emma found that they both were leaning in, but she couldn't care. She made a bold move and crashed her lips to his. As they kissed, Killian wrapped his hand in her hair while she did the same to him. She felt his tongue swipe across her bottom lip, asking for entrance, which she quickly granted. Their tongues entered each other's mouths, and Emma moaned. They both pulled back to breathe, and Killian stepped away from her, giving her space. But, Emma didn't want that. What she wanted was to make sure that Killian was there and that he wasn't going to leave her. She stepped back to him and pressed her body against his, moaning when she felt him pressed against her leg.

"Why don't we take this upstairs? To the bedroom?" She asked in a whisper.

"Emma, I'm not going to take advantage of you like that."

She palmed him through his jeans. "I want it, Killian. Please?"

He moaned. "You are a vixen. A bloody siren."

She giggled. "I know."

He picked her up bridal style and ran upstairs into his bedroom. He closed the door and threw her on the bed, climbing over her and leaning down to kiss her. "Are you sure you want this?"

She bit her lip and nodded. "I'm ready. I want my first time to be with you, Killian. Please."

He nodded and worked to remove their clothes. He reached over in the nightstand and grabbed a condom. Emma giggled and he looked at her confused. "What?" He asked.

"Prepared, are we?"

He smirked. "Perhaps." After their intense love making session, Killian collapsed next to Emma and held her close to his chest. He breathed in the scent of her hair and drew patterns onto her skin with his fingertips. He could tell she was on the verge of falling asleep, but wouldn't let herself fall over that cliff. "Go to sleep, Swan. I'll be here when you wake up." Emma nodded and a moment later, her soft snores filled the room. Shortly after, Killian let himself fall asleep too.
