"REMEMBER THAT SUPER IMPORTANT EXAM I TOLD YOU ABOUT?!
"YEAH?"
"I ACED IT. LIKE MOTHERFUCKIN DOMINATED THE PAPER! I'M SO PUMPED."
"THERE'S MY POSITIVE NAYA."
"PLUS I TOPPED MY CLASS SO MOM AND DAD ARE GONNA BE REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THIS."
[Silas realises he's the first to know, tone changing.]
"You haven't told them?"
"No... I mean the first person I thought to call was kinda you so..."
[He doesn't reply but dazes off for a while.]
"Sorry, are you busy or something?"
"No, no. Just happy you called."
"Right?! I mean oh god, I topped the class I'M SO FUCKING EXCITED SILAS.
[Silas gets into the mood again, genuinely elated for Naya.]
"AND IM SO FLIPPING EXCITED FOR YOU TOO. BUT PLEASE, THIS JUST MEANS MORE STUDENTS ARE GONNA WANT YOU AS THEIR TUTOR."
"NO THEY-"
"SO NO MORE TOMS, OKAY?"
"WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?"
"I DON'T KNOW NAYA. WE'RE JUST SO HAPPY."
