"Well you seem happier these few days."

"Me? What are you talking about, I'm always happy."

"Yeah but last week you were all gloomy and distressed. Man, I was even scared to ask you about it."

"It was nothing, don't worry, Jared."

"I bet it's this girl you're always late for."

[Silas rolls his eyes, scoffing at Jared's statement.]

"Since when was I ever late?"

"Uh, we were running late for our seminar last month because you were still 'on your way'. Just a few weeks ago I kept yelling at you to get in the plane but you said you were going to take a piss. I assume that it wasn't to take a leak?"

"Ah Jared, it's the wonders of being in-"

"Love? Silas, you never did love, not after you know who. Don't shit with me.t

[Silas lets Jared's words soak in, taking off his headset.]

"Things change, days past and before you know it, there's a woman right in front of you too beautiful for you to even comprehend. People like her... are those you need to hold on tight to."

[He twists his fingers, tapping lightly onto the headset.]

"We lose people so easily, it scares me sometimes."

[The next moment, he brushes off the serious talk, joking with Jared again.]

"Jared, my brother, it's not like you'll ever understand."

"Much support. Thanks."

"Seriously, all you ever do is work. You fly all over the world so often, you exist in a timeless world."

"So this girl... what's she like?"

"Mmmm..."

"Naya's stunning..."

[Silas recounts the day he first saw her face; mocha hair that flowed like waves and the thing he loved most was her lips. Gentle and pink.]

"Very smart."

[He recounts the day she came screaming to him when she passed her test.]

"Bold."

[And also how she couldn't live a day without shouting profanities.]

"She loves to sleep."

"And sometimes I wonder. Is this what it feels like to be in love? Because it just seems too surreal, too quick, too wild. They are feelings you can't catch and restrain. They yearn to be held and embraced."

"Judging from your detailed summary, I must only assume she's a keeper."

"I would think so too."

"And you are completely affected by her."

"I wouldn't say affected. I'd rather enamoured."

"Naya enamours me."
