After much contemplation and many stolen glances at him, she resolved to confess how she felt. There was something about keeping such a secret from him that overwhelmed her, especially when she was close to him.
He's right there, she'd once reflected. He's so close, I could almost take his hand.
She just couldn't continue to push away the emotions that filled her.
The only question is, she thought, when can I tell him something like this?
