Chapter 4

:::::::::: Harley Quinn's POV ::::::::::

I started going through the crowd to get to the bat cave to hide but I was grabbed from behind and turned around to face the Joker.

"Pumpkin what did I say about leaving" he said making his grip tighter on my wrist

"Not to leave.....without you.....or......your henchmen" I said breaking down in tears already

"That's right and what did you do" he said

"I didn't bring you.....or.....one of the henchmen" I wanted this to stop because now I think people are wondering if I'm changing or not but it seems people are worried that I might die.

"Let her go Joker" someone said behind me. I turned around and saw Batman standing there

"Oh and what are you going to do if I don't" Joker said as he tightens his grip more on me making me fall to the ground in pain. A boomerang hit the Jokers arm and it made me let go and get away from him.

::::::::: Bruce's POV ::::::::::

I start fighting Joker and his henchmen which were really easy to knock out but the Joker wasn't easy to even lock up cause he always got away but it was worth the shot. Joker got away with the rest who were just waiting out side. I go back to the bat cave and no one saw where I was going. When I got to the bat cave I saw Harley sitting in a chair looking at her wrist. I walk up to her and looked at it. It was bruised from where he held his grip on her wrist. I moved it and she didn't flinch.

"Bruce your cut" she says. I look down to see a cut on my chest.

"It's fine Harley" I said and get up

"But it's still bleeding" she said and stands in my way

"Sir everyone left" Alfred said coming down the stairs then left

"Alright" I said and sat down. Harley got a wet cloth and pressed it on my naked chest where the cut is and kept it there. "Are you ok Harley" I asked as she looks at the wet cloth

"Yeah I'm fine" she said still pressing the wet cloth on my chest. I put her in my lap and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"You sure" I said

"Yes because when I'm with you. I feel safe" she said smiling at me. I smiled back and kissed her as she kissed back. The cloth slid off my chest as Harley wrapped her arms around my neck. We were interrupted by a cough. We both looked over to see Alfred standing there.

"Was wondering if you were both hungry" he asked us

"Yes I am" Harley said

"Yes Alfred" I said

Alfred left to cook us dinner. Harley cleaned my chest and I put on my button up shirt and jacket on. Harley hugged me from behind and held onto me.

"I won't let the Joker hurt you" I said holding her hands

"I know" she said

"I did find a job for you" I said

"Which is???" She asked looking at me

"My personal secretary" I said

"That's gonna cause a lot of trouble for the both of us" she said smiling

"Yes I know but it's to keep you busy. You have to plan my meetings and other things" I said

"Well I'll take it then" she said

"Great you can start tomorrow" I said smiling

"Yeah right" she said smiling as well

I laughed "your right next week is when you'll start"

"Alright. I can't wait" she said hugging me more. I hugged back. We go and sit at the dinning room table having steak and green beans with mashed potatoes. After we were done eating we went to bed. Harley put a nightgown on as I put sweatpants on with no shirt.

~ a week later ~

Harley got dressed in a turquoise blazer, a white t-shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and cream heeled boots. She put her hair in a ponytail. Harley got all of her tattoos removed but one. She left the red and black diamond tattoo that's around her arm.

"You ready" I asked

"Yes I am" she said smiling

"Alright let's go" I said

We got to the car and drove to work. I had Lisa show her, her desk. Harley got settled and started organizing my meeting. This is a fresh start for Harley. I went into my office and called Jonny for him to drop of Harley's babies.

"Where should I bring them" Jonny asked

"I need you to bring them to my work. Since they're trained and will listen to Harley I think they'll be fine here" I said

"Alright I'll be there in ten mins" Jonny said and then hung up. I hung up my phone then there was a knock on the door.

"Come in" i said looking at papers

Harley came into my office and closed the door behind her "Bruce you have a meeting in 10 mins" she said

"Alright" I said and got up from my desk and walked over to her

"Thank you for helping me Bruce" she said

"I'd do anything for you because I love you" I said smiling

"Love you too" she said and kissed me. I kissed back but then broke it up.

"I have to go or I'm gonna be late" I said

"Yeah you don't want to be late" she said

I opened the door and headed to my meeting as Harley organized my calendar for meetings.

I was organizing some meetings when a person came up to my desk.

"Harley" someone said

I looked up to see Jonny "Jonny what are you doing here?" I said and got up from my desk but when I did I saw my babies. I gasped and went on my knees "babies come to mommy" I said and opened my arms. They came up to me and licked my face.

"Bruce called me and told me to drop them off here" Jonny said

"You know him???" I asked

"Yeah when we caught him one point before he took you to belle reve. I unmasked him and he told me not to tell anyone" Jonny said

"Well I'm just glad I have my babies" I said I stood up and hugged Jonny as he hugged back

"Good luck with your new life. You deserve this" Jonny said and the left

I'm glad I have a new life and a chance to prove to everyone that I'm different and going to be good.
